I tried to sing but I couldn't think of anything..

About Me

Jonas (30) has been a part of several of the leading bands in the region of Ostfold in Norway for several years.
He is currently writing, producing and recording all new material in collaboration with producer/drummer/"magician"/friend Ruben Dalen. The first product was a song called Ego-You (Looks like exciting things are happening for this song these days). Here on MySpace we are now proud of being able to present a few of the new songs they’ve been doing lately. These are ALL DEMOS, and must not be considered to be otherwise. We will keep updating with new songs as they come along.
Jonas has been working quite a lot with his brother Stephan L. Groth from Apoptygma Berzerk. This autumn they’ve recorded a couple of tracks for the new Apoptygma Berzerk album "Sonic Diary" (Keane’s "Bend And Break" and New Order’s "Bizarre Love Triangle") where Jonas worked as co-producer, music arranger, pianist and some vocal work. Jonas also arranged the vocals for the re-recordings of the classic Apoptygma Berzerk songs "Deep Red" and "Mourn". The album is out now!!!
Previuosly he’s sung the harmonies on the song Nearer from the album "7" from 1996. In 1999 he wrote a song ("Moment Of Tranquillity") for the 2000 album "Welcome To Earth", and has helped out with preproductions, harmonies, remixes and arrangements ever since.
Jonas apears ALONE on the "In This Together" single by Apoptygma Berzerk. He’s singing and playing guitar on the acoustic track "Until The End Of The World" which was used as a demo in 2002 and again as a part of the soundtrack to the Apoptygma Berzerk Harmonizer/Unicorn DVD (2004). This song was also played live by Jonas as the encore on Apoptygma Berzerk’s Birmingham gig in May 2006 (Jonas joined the band on their UK tour as a part of his bachellor party, since Stephan was his best man.)
The acoustic version of "Until The End Of The World" has also been released by Metropolis Records in the USofA (hehehe...). It appears as the last track on the Black E.P.
While working with music Jonas has sometimes also joined forces with Rico Darum (Apoptygma Berzerk, Theatre Of Tragedy, Zeromancer, Gothminister). They seem to bring out the best in each other.
In 2000 Jonas produced and co-arranged the demo that lead to Crowhead’s signing.
Another of Jonas’s side projects is Piston Damp. This was formed and developed with pal Truls Sønsterud. This is a more electronic act in the essence of Depeche Mode and Apoptygma Berzerk. One of their songs, Runaway, got chosen as Song Of The Week on NRK P3 (biggest national radio station in Norway) in january 2005.
In 2002 Jonas played guitar on Apoptygma Berzerks remix of A-Ha’s Lifelines.
