How many people have a dream, and how many of them chase it regardless of what others have to say about it?How many people have the drive and motivation for creation, to build something so unique and sturdy that even when their gone it still remains? The answer to this question is, very few and one of them few happens to be a woman named Dubz.A child from the eighties, Dubz was born at a Stamford Conn. hospital called St. Joes in 1985 but didden't become a resident untill the age of 9, she currently resides in Stamford pursuing her goal of being the first openly gay rapper to go platinum. Her ambitions include raising respect for gay and lesbian artists whatever their art form is, be it music, movies or any other form of expression. You might ask yourself, "What sparked her passion for music" with her reply being "Busta Rhyme's song Woo ha, I loved the energy".As of then, things would never be the same, she was so inspired by that song that it motivated her to do her own thing and pursue a life of music while giving her the drive necessary to break into the rap scene and lace it with her own style.Never the one to be insecure, Dubz could repeat the very song that inspired her to her fellow class mates and felt as though she could repeat her own lyrics well enough to create her own style. This was the way Dubz developed her flow, by practicing the lyrics to her favorite songs every day and eventually learning how to record her own tracks.By age 14 she had gotten her hands on a computer and learned of the wealth of knowledge that the internet had to offer and discovered "The Lyricist Lounge", a place that helped Dubz to master her lyrical talent, perfect her flow and aided in the transition of being an all around emcee. The Lyricist Lounge also taught her how to create bars, create a flow and write whole songs, with this all still being in text.Fast forward and take a look, still at the young age of 14, Dubz recorded her first track titled "Tragic Triumph" over the Wu Tang's "Triumph" instrumental along side AthenA and The Accent. It was in fact a diss aimed at the very place that brought her up, a moment sure to be remembered by the ones who were there and witnessed this classic event. When asked how she thinks the internet has affected the industry she says,Its very important for an artist to generate an internet buzz, mainly if they are unsigned because a lot of people are getting signed doing this and lots of overseas people get a hold of your music a lot easier, its just great if you can get a grip onlineNow years later, Dubz has come into her own and shows no signs of slowing down, let alone stopping, When asked about her past, one would expect a reply to the effect of "The future is what matters", and if it's any indicator, the future is going to be a bright one for the girl from West Haven.Nobody with this much dedication to their chosen art form is going to fade into the shadows, never to be heard.Hip hop needs a fresh face to bring something to the table that's been lacking for a long time now, And if you ask me, Dubz is the one to bring it, so make sure there's an extra place set because she's sitting at the table regardless of who likes it or not.Next time you find yourself near Lblock Lockwood Ave. or Leed East Side Stamford Exit 9, give respect to the woman repping it because like she says "Even if the money changes everybody else, she don't plan on being one of them, I see you doing your thing Dubz, Keep swinging on em.

| View | Add Favorite This is the last thing im going to say about Wallace ever in life this shit is played out and oviously Mr. Christopher Glen don't have shit else to do seeing as tho he aint got no job so let me break it down like this...First and formost while he wanna tell my business on his page he should get his facts straight and worry about finding a job to take care of his family instead of worring about me. My charges that i got was some bullshit i never claimed that it was gangsta shit that got me locked up i got sent to Niantic on some shit and i don't wish that shit on nobody and because of what happened to me it has made me a better person
I have quit smokin i got money in da bank a full time job in a committed relationship and im doing so much better for myself then I was before it happend.
Thirdly i was not charged with Risk Of Injury to a minor i was charged with Risk Of Injury and that charge thank god was dropped because it is a felony I was charged with a Facsimily firearm because when tha lady (my naibor from upstairs) called the police on me she told the police officer that she seen me with a gun out of my bathroom window (that is not physically impossible) shooting at her and her husbands car knowing that i didn't do this i allowed the police into my house when they came in they asked if i owned a BB gun or a pelot gun i told them yes however it was broken when i showed it to them they took it into evidence. I was also charged with Possession of marijuna less then 4 ounces and having bongs and pipes in da crib as for as me havin a nick of bush please i had an 8th of haze criminal mischef in tha 3rd basically charged for damaging property tha risk of injury is because their were people around i also got breif of peace so long story short this faggot wanna make me seem like a net thug and all this and that BECAUSE HE HAS NOTHING ELS BETTER TO DO THEN TO SIT ONLINE AND TALK SHIT ON MYSPACE AND I HAVE MOVED ON WITH MY LIFE AND IVE MADE MYSELF BETTER that is da story that is what happend
since i was in jail when i was suppose to go to court for another case i got from fighting this pussy niggas girl at tha time was my girl I had to eat my assult and disorderly charge so i got basically seven charges up against me one felony and i have hired a lawyer not no public pretender a real paid lawyer that has me in all sorts of programs and shit...i be too tired to get on myspace and pop shit and make diss tracks cause unlike this fuck i work 8 - 10 hours a day and when i aint at work im in court and when i aint in court or work im in some program when i aint in a program im in some class GETTING MY LIFE TOGETHER so yeah believe who u want feed into this shit if u wanna feed into it but real niggas no better then that... In other teamstaz news im set to do a show in january tha venue hasn't been selected yet but i signed on to do some shit with Hardwork ENT a mini CT tour we will hit up all over CT and a couple spots upstate NY this is all through my man indy's mananger who is getting his own management company jumpin off so i'll have an update on that later...so yeah big shout to my niggas and fuck da rest
