About Me

My name is Amanda Waterman-Howell, I've been married for a little over a year now. I'm pretty strange and maybe a little "out there" and probably don't make sense most of the time :) I love my family and people who are true to themselves. I hate people who pretend to be something their not. I hate people who stop in the merge lane when getting off/onto the highway, and also people who don't use their blinker and then come to almost complete stops when turning. I want to make the world a better place and think it's everybody's job to try and make the world more beautiful and more peaceful. I hate watching sports on TV, but I love game shows, cartoons, and silly sci-fi movies. I hate it when people talk really loud on their cell phones in public places (my husband is guilty of this) and in fact I actually just hate phones. I'm bad at returning phone calls, so don't take it personally. I love animals, children, and good food. I have way too many pairs of shoes. I hate being around drunk people. I don't really drink much myself and if I do, I rarely drink enough to get drunk. Sometimes I like to just drive around and listen to music so I take the long way home. I hate my current job at the casino. I can't wait to become a teacher. My favorite color is purple and my favority number is 36. I could watch Law & Order episodes all day long. I hate doing laundry but I love vacuuming. I work hard at school and work hard at home. I'm not a very good cook, even though my hubby tells me he loves my cooking. I don't understand racism and sexism. I am not a feminist; I want to be taken care of and would prefer to stay at home and be a wife and a mother. And that is pretty much me in a nutshell.

My Interests

I love going to concerts, especially to hear local bands. I also love doing volunteer work and working with kids. I hope to one day join the Peace Corps.

I like all types of music except rap, I absolutely love rock/metal music like Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Molly Hatchet, Guns N Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. I also really like country music... but not that crap they play on the radio. I mean the real deal like Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Hank Williams Sr./Jr, David Allan Coe, and some newer bands like Shooter Jennings and the 357s. I hate to admit this but I also love disco music...it's ok I know I'm a dork.

Movies:

I like stupid movies like Dumb and Dumber, A Night at the Roxbury, and both the Wayne's Worlds. I just love to laugh and I think these movies are hilarious. I hate to admit it, but I also love all of Pauly Shore's movies (I can't help it, they're just freakin funny). Recent movies I've really liked are The DaVinci Code, Blood Dimaond, and The Departed.

Television:

My favorite shows even though some of them aren't on anymore are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dharma and Greg, Law and Order, House, and CSI. I'm also a cartoon fanatic. I like Family Guy, Futurama, The Simpsons, Spongebob, and Cow and Chicken. I'm also kind of a Game Show nut, I could watch Game Shows all day long...go ahead and laugh I think we've already established how dorky I really am :)
