I looovveee my life!

About Me

Let me start with a quote from Helmut Newton..."Most people have no imagination. That's why most people work in a bloody bank or insurance company or sell shoes... Slavery for me would be to work for a boss, to rely on the idea that I will please this boss by what I do or say or else get thrown out and have no work. That is truly terrible... I burned my bridges because they were going to conform me. They wanted to and I said Fuck You. Freedom and independence are for me the most important things."From a 1985 Interview at Chateau Marmont

My Interests

Movies, reading, seeing live music, playing in bands (Four Dollar Bongo, Dolce and Hunk), hanging at my pool.

I'd like to meet:

creative, talented and intelligent non-conformists.

Music:

I don't fit in a nice, neat category when it comes to music. Here goes: Coachella, Ozzfest, Metal Skool (Poison, Winger, Def Leopard, Iron Maiden, Guns Roses) Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, The Jam, Oasis, Dead Kennedy's, 7 Seconds, Butthole Surfers, Killers, Doves, Queens, Kyuss, Metallica, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, Wilco, Radio Head (They fucking ROCKED Coachella last year) I've also been jamming one of LA's best punk bands from the 70s, The Weirdoes.

Television:

Kill Your Television!

Books:

The Lords of Chaos: The Bloody Rise Of The Satanic Metal Underground, Complete Headbanging Guide To Heavy Metal, We Got The Neurton Bomb: The Untold Story of L.A. Punk, Please Kill Me: The uncensored Oral History of PUNK. This is a great site for music stuff: www.allmusic.com.On the literature side of things I think my favorites will always be F. Scott Fitzgerald's Tender Is The Night and The Great Gatsby. Also, Hemmingway's Farewell to Arms and the Sun Also rises. I've read the entire Fitzgerald catalog and most of Hemingway. Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer is of course a classic. Re-read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (before we lost Hunter) and Bukowoski's Hollywood (not his best).
