About Me

"I think there's another band after us - stick around, because we have to go home." - Maria Taylor, Saddle Creek Records
"...smart songwriting that takes cues from Neil Young and the Beatles, with vocals that easily connect with the listener." - The Denver Post
"Dedicated and blossoming with a mature and accomplished sound, Hello Kavita is on the short track to standing atop Denver’s pantheon of musical talent." - Jonathan Bitz, Syntax Magazine
"Can you guys play something more upbeat, like Journey?" - woman (who was in fact, hamboned) at Forest Room Five.
"Listen closely, and you'll hear swelling slide guitar lines that recall Mazzy Star, stark strums of an acoustic guitar with doubled, hard-panned vocals à la Either/Or-era Elliott Smith, the rollicking, ornate pop of Wilco, and the understated eloquence of Neil Halstead/Mojave 3." - Denver Westword Critic's Choice by Dave Herrera
"...Hello Kavita showed again why it’s one of Denver’s most promising acts of the moment." - Westword live review 12-21-07
"Hello Kavita. We hadn't seen these guys in a few months, but they sounded tremendous at last week's Sea Wolf show at the Larimer Lounge. The band's nuanced songwriting and solid performance almost outshone that of the evening's headliner — a difficult task indeed." - Ricardo Baca, The Denver Post 1-25-08
"Never believe your own hype." - a good friend.
