About Me

My Interests

I can't imagine what to tell you that is general. I generally work, sleep, obsess, ignore, rationalize, procrastinate, obsess, drink coffee, get some ink, miss the ocean, overachieve, put myself down, pretend, sometimes I eat and then I obsess about that, laugh, read, listen to the voices in my head, dance, hope, love, and try. Did I mention obsess?

I'd like to meet:

THE WOMEN IN MY LIFE, ROCK MY WORLD! BE IT ROLLER DERBY OR OLD FRIENDS, THEY NEVER CEASE TO INSPIRE ME!

Music:

Clutch, Pigface, and Tom Waits, RJD2 and Lemon Jelly. Blackheart Motorcycle Club and MoFro. I dislike rap but love the Herbalizer, Groove Armada, and Massive Attack. I hate the Grateful Dead, love the Driveby Truckers. I think Martin Atkins is a god, I followed Jane's Addiction around the country in their day.Ween, Modest Mouse, and the Scissor Sisters. The B52's and the Eurythmics. Annie Lennox is awsome and so are the Talking Heads. Ministry, Black Flag, My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult, and Rollins Band. Nick Cave and Morphine, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. Jack Johnson, Ben Harper. Blues, Ambient, Ethnic, Chill, and Acid Jazz.

Movies:

"Happiness" is my favorite movie of all time, followed by "Gummo". Most likely, if it's in the theater, I don't like it. Documentaries of all kinds. Horror, but good horror movies are few and far between. House of a 1000 Corpses and it's sequel, Devil's Rejects. I've been looking for a movie made in the 70's called "Rabid" The Big Lebowski, American Splendor, and a little movie called Some Girl. A new movie called Mirrormask, check it out! Fargo, Memento, Tarantino, the usuals.

Television:

Books:

" The Lamb" written by Jesus's best friend Biff, "Geek Love", "Wicked", "The Descent", "Life of Pi",David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs, Joyce Carol Oats and Susan Faludi, Michael Crichton and Pat Conroy, Sylvia Plath and Elizabeth Wurtz, I have a huge soft spot for Steven King and Anne Rice. Vanity Fair and The Onion. A vast collection of cook books that I read for fun.

Heroes:

Wyle E. Cyote. Tortured genious with grit and determination./

Ever seen "Hell's Kitchen"?

I love my business, I really do. Restuarants are like people. They have personalities, their own little quirks totally separate from the people who inhabit them, who also have plenty of their own! Whe...
