Friends since childhood with two brothers to boot, Charleston, South Carolina's Red Handed are a straightforward rock band known for what some call the southern California sound consisting of crunchy guitar riffs and strong melodies. The band (Scott Gould - lead vocals and guitar, Drew Reindollar guitar, Matthew Reindollar drums and Kenny Varner - bass) describe their songwriting as brutally honest yet never preachy, with an emphasis on the rock n' roll basics. Critics have described RH as being aggression specialist alt-rockers, full of raw energy and riffy, anthemic tunes (Charleston City Paper May 3, 2006) and their act as being as physically energetic as their songs are musically energetic, (Grafitti Magazine Vol. 1 Issue 5). This formula has allowed RH to both tour the Southeast and draw crowds by the hundreds in Charleston. After recording a debut album in northern California with producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, Chili Peppers), RH's latest effort is a seven-song EP produced by Eric Bass, who helped sharpen the band's focus and refine their sound.
