Wretched Dawn was founded in 2005 by guitarist/vocalist Rocky Breshears and drummer Gabe Seeber. The two began playing music by their favorite bands and inspirations, but according to Breshears, they wanted to write their own music and feel the satisfaction and energy of an audience feeding off of their own sound and connecting with them on a personal level musically that they felt while listening to their favorite bands. Breshears and Seeber became serious about creating their own music but never became a "real" band until they enlisted friends Jon Reed and Spider in the spring of 2007: Reed on vocals, and Spider on bass. Now a complete force, Wretched Dawn strives to make original, atmosphere-inducing meshes of thrash, death, and black metal with elements of technical guitar work and a sound to claim as their own.
