San Francisco Maritime National Park Association

Bringing Maritime History to Life

About Me

San Francisco Maritime National Park Association is a non-profit organization working to help educate people about the rich maritime history of San Francisco. We work with the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, and offer educational programs of all types on their historic ships and fleet of small boats at Hyde Street Pier. From overnight field trips on the 301' tall ship Balclutha and sailing the 116 year old schooner Alma on the Bay, to small boat building and sailing programs, we often serve 100 students or more in a single day. As educators, we are constantly looking for new and exciting ways to bring maritime history to life, and with us into the next generation.
