About Me

Ok, I'm horrible at these things but my old one has been here too long so here goes nothing:
I'm an oddly introspective kind of guy and actually find it rather amusing that my varying interests lie at such opposite ends of the spectrum. First off I've been raised by computers and the internet. I think everyone out there has a certain interest and/or talent that comes as naturally to them as breathing air - computers are this way for me and I'm very grateful for that. So I sometimes I'm always browsing the net, playing a game, fixing some bug, or reformatting this that or the other. I've also been running my own freelance tech support business for quite some.
When I'm not in front of the glowing screen I really enjoy being out-doors. I love to go camping and hiking and would really like to make it more of a regular event. I hate the concept of "working out." It's so boring! I like to be doing something productive for exercise - hence the hiking. My current job, Warehouse Manager at Northwest Staging, is definitely a good workout. For all intensive purposes I'm a professional mover. I'm really not into sports at all (for the most part they rather bug me) but for some reason love a good game of Ultimate Frisbee.
I recently got a digital camera for my 21st birthday and am so glad I got one. I've never had a personal camera prior, and ever since I got it I can't stop taking pictures. I take a lot of pictures when I get bored. It's funny because for me Boredom=Creativity aka: Boredom=Taking Goofy Pictures And Making Stupid Animated GIF's To Give My Friends And I A Laugh ( See Photos Section ) Yeah, but I go out every once in a while to a nice scenic spot and take a few snapshots - tends to calm the nerves after a stressful week.
I'm fairly nocturnal when my work schedule isn't an issue. One of my favorite things to do, though difficult due to gas prices lately, is to get in my car really late, pick a direction and just drive off into the night. All the while singing my heart out to some classic oldies of course.
I use to keep a dream journal years back and have recently tried to start it up again. So more than likely all of my blog entries will be dreams I've recently had. So hope you enjoy reading about the crazy stuff that goes on in my mind.
Overall I'm just a weird guy with a sunny outlook on life who enjoys good company, good computers, good nights, and good sleep.
Wow... Ok that just felt like a really long and unnecessary journal entry, but oh well. It'll stick for a while, or until I ever get around to changing it again =)

My Interests

As I already mentioned I'm into techy nerd stuff, camping, and late night escapades in the middle of nowhere. I love watching movies and relaxing on the couch.
I'm also a big singer and I love singing to oldies.

I'd like to meet:

I'm interested in meeting practically anyone who I can have a good time with. Seeing some old familiar faces would be a nice surprise as well. Of course I can never say no to a beautiful face or someone who knows a thing or two about bandwidth envy.
P.S. Hope you enjoy my secret songs =)

Music:

Oldies have to be my die hard favorite genre of music. Other than that I like a lot of jazz, new-aged contemporary techno and smooth ambient music. To be honest I'm really tired of the whole "band" sound (Lead singer who plays guitar, backup guitarist, bassist, drummer, and keyboardist) It's been done, I think its time to move on. I really enjoy "background" music. Think of watching a movie and hearing the music in the background thats not really vocal or important necessarily, but very mood setting. SomaFM is an awesome site.
Here's a short playlist of some of my favorites:

1. Zero 7 - When It Falls
2. Royksopp - Only This Moment
3. Sigur Rós - Sven-G-Englar
4. Don McLean - American Pie
5. T.J. & the Shondells - Crimson & Clover
6. Simon & G. - Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.
7. Otis Redding - Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay
8. Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop) - Space Lion
9. Kevin Shields - Are You Awake?
10. Beatles - Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Enjoy!

Movies:

Favorite movies sheesh, where do I start... Uhm... Ok have to cover the typical basics here first off - Shawshank Redemption, Monty Python, Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (the real ones). Then the slightly lesser known - anything Miyazaki has done (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Grave of Fireflies etc...), Lost in Translation, What Dreams May Come, Before Sunrise... I'm actually quite the sap, but don't much care for a lot of typical "chick flicks," which is why I enjoy those last few movies so much. I'd say thats enough for now

Television:

I rarely watch TV anymore but when I do, I'd have to say that I idolize Seinfeld. Family Guy and Cowboy Bebop are a couple other favorites. Firefly is an amazing show and needs to come back! As of late I've been on a TV show downloading binge and have resurrected an old classic from my past - The Adventures of Pete & Pete. That show rocks. 24 is good of course, Lost, I've gotten into Prison Break lately which is surprisingly addicting, ah and Myth Busters. I think every boy's secret fantasy is to be one of those guys. Heroes FTW!! And of course when there's absolutely nothing else on, I can always be comfortable in knowing the matchmaking guru that is Roger Lodge will keep me company 'til the wee hours of the night *gag*

Books:

Truth be told, I never really read. The last book could very well have been "We All Pee" the potty training instructional book for children. Yeah... it was a present for my 21st birthday...

Heroes:

Masi Oka ... Enough said.
