DJ EAST, was born in the borough of "The Bronx", in New York City. EAST was musically influenced by his Mother and his Uncle at an early age. At the age of 5, a young, EAST picked up his first pair of drumsticks. Still, to this day East plays all percussion type instruments."In the early 90's, I was getting tired of the whole band thing and was looking for a fresh new sound."It was a friend of mine from Brooklyn that turned me on to a sound and a witness to the beginning of Americas NEW underground culture, that was so fresh and underground..It reminded me of the old days in the BRONX"....it really overwhelmed me." Once East heard this new sound, he knew what he wanted to do. "I traded my Pearl Drum set in, for two Technics Turntables"..."It was because of a certain DJ...Frankie Bones. He is the reason, why I'm doing, what I'm doing today!!!!" You know what? It was him playin' at that warehouse party. Now, for over 10 years, DJ EAST has been Rockin' U.S. crowds..with some of the HARDEST, DARKEST, TECHNO, in AMERICA!!! FROM AMERICA!!!Enter, [Urban Tek Productions]: DJ EAST, not only taught and also promoted himself...but he also promoted events...and those he looked up to. Including his very first in 97', underneath the Brooklyn Bridge, in NYC...which was well heard of. Even by IMAGE MAGAZINE, all the way in Denver, Colorado. From 99'-2003, DJ EAST decided to move to Rio Rancho, New Mexico. With the help of then, co-owner of Urban Tek, Lorraine Griego. Urban Tek Productions threw 8 successful events all over the state of NEW MEXICO..."We were known as the first promoters to consistently bring REAL UNDERGROUND TECHNO and East Coast-TECHNO HEADLINERS, to the Southwest!!!"In late 2003, DJ EAST really missed the cold, rain and snow, that he was used to in N.Y. So, he then decided to move to Denver CO. "What I really wanted to do was, travel around, like I've already had been doing. So people would actually get to know, ME! and not just my DJ name or my music." He did just that. Soon after he began to scout out: UNDISCOVERED, NEW TALENT in Denver.When he did, East along with DJ Noble One and DJ Ishi, started a crew of DJ's called: THE DRUM PUSHERS!!! D.P. was started in Denver in 04' and is NOW, in 2008 represented, all over the EARTH by WORLD RENOWNED DJ's "The idea of the DRUM PUSHERS crew, was a crew of DJ's, that,no matter what genre they played...as long as they had that fire and it was underground...and pushing those hard drums, they would either be asked to be a DRUMPUSHER...or they would end up asking us."In 2006, while Touring, EAST met up with his old friend, DRUMPUSHER and producing partner: DJ EVASION. "We have a real good chemistry together, in the studio."In the beginning of 2007, EAST and EVASION, began to write original, techno tracks, again. This time they decided to step it up a notch. They wanted a name for this producing band...but instead of using their DJ names..."We decided on TSAESION." It's pronounced "SATION", like a sensation you get from our music. "Basically, it's my DJ name: EAST, backwards: TSAE and the last four letters of EVASION: SION. Hence, "TSAESION"NEWS AND UPDATES- FROM THE WORLD OF : DJ EAST In 2007, DJ EAST, joined a crew of fantastic DJ's, from Colorado Springs, Called S.O.B. (Check their site)outDJ EAST update:10/15/08- East and his partner Evasion are producing under the name TSAESION...Their 1st EP DEBUT RELEASE, NAMED: DRUMPUSHER 001. with tracks: DARK SIN and SLITHER.
