We are just a few young kids trying to make a difference in our neighborhoods, places of work and circle of friends. What started off as a side project or hobby if you will, to fulfill a creative itch has turned into something much greater than we ever imagined. ephraim is an example of faithfulness, more specifically the faithfulness of God (2 Timothy 2:13)
Established in the fall of 2001, we wanted to create a line that was not only thought provoking but also original in its design, its look and its feel without watering down the message.
“One of the main reasons ephraim was created was the fact that we had just grown so weary of seeing all the parody t-shirts out there. The lack of integrity, sanctity and originality really disappointed us. It felt like our faith was being made a mockery.” “We wanted to give people something more than a knock-off design, something with substance behind it.”
To achieve this idea of substance, we decided to take a progressive angle with the line by weaving theological concepts into the artwork. Each design is carefully crafted using illustration, literature, lines of text, scripture and imagination to express a biblical truth. The designs tell stories that range from spiritual conflict to the sovereignty of God to the depravity of man to personal surrender. We understand that what we have created might not reach the masses but those we do touch our hope is that they will be encouraged, inspired, comforted and most importantly changed.
