About Me

I am a southern gal who works hard, loves to play tennis every chance I get, teaches others how to use their computers (this is my part time job), and loves to keep up web sites. I sing in a wonderful choir. I love life. I try to live life to the fullest. I try to challenge myself everyday to do something positive. I try to keep positive people around me. I love my children, a 25 year old son and a 17 year old daughter. I love to dance when I get the chance (hey that rhymes). I believe that you don't have to have a partner in your life to fulfill you - that a partner should be just that - a partner - they should enhance your life - not "become" your life. I am a very independent person and like my space. I am a very compassionate person who, yes, cries at the "chick" flicks. I love a sense of humor and I love a positive attitude. Attitude has so much to do with how our lives are. I have come to believe that more and more as I grow older and learn more from books and other learning tools. I decided to explore this thing called MYSPACE mainly to start keeping blogs - aren't we all frustrated writers after all . . .

I love tennis, reading, art, movies, fine food and traveling.

Music:

I love Carole King, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jewel, Madonna, Three Dog Night, Stevie Nicks, Bruce Springstein, Simon & Garfinkle, Earth, Wind and Fire and ZZ Top. And we musn't forget Shania Twain. My daughter has even brought me around to liking the sounds of Savage Garden, Black Eye Peas, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Ryan Cabrera, Mariah Carey (and even some of the rap - though certainly not all of it).

Movies:

I love "chic" movies. I also love adventure movies. I love alien movies - I know, I know, that's not normal - but I do. I love the Matrix series. I loved the Star Wars series. I loved the Lord of the Rings series. I don't like gory movies. I like scary movies - but not when they are gory. Don't like Halloween, Elm Street, ones like that. Did like The Grudge, etc. I love comedies if they are really good. One of my favorite movies of all time is Forrest Gump. It had every component.

Television:

Don't watch that much television - I love "Heroes", "Desperate Housewives"; "Brothers and Sisters" "Greys Anatomy"; and reruns of "Charmed. That's about all I get to watch.

Books:

I love Dean Koontz. His books are all about good and evil and good always wins. I also like a good mystery.

Heroes:

One of my good friends who is one of the most amazing women I've ever known.
