Well, I been doing some surfin around MySpace and so far I haven’t seen a whole lot of representing. So I thought I would start you all off with a little testimony. In my opinion, the way I came to know Christ isn't quite as exciting as some of the things that have happened since then. When I was 20, I got married to the guy I had dated all through high school and shortly after found myself expecting. Then I found out my fairytale was more like a nightmare. My husband had been unfaithful with four different women before I finally left and before our devoice could go through he was already having a child with a fifth girl. Needless to say I was devastated. It seemed like my world had ended and if it wasn't for one thing it probably would have. There were so many times when I was going through crap that I thought about taking my own life plus add to that pregnancy and then post partom depression. I was a wreck. There were only two things that stopped me every time, but it really just comes down to one. Jesus Christ. If it weren't for my faith in God I don't think I would have gotten through then or now. I believe that children are a gift from God, and in my daughters case I think it's obvious. I also credit her for saving my life. If I weren't pregnant I know I would have killed myself and then there's the fact that she is the sweetest most adorable thing I have ever seen. I'm not just saying this because I'm her mom but, she is so perfect. Just for example she started sleeping through the night at like two and a half months! Awesome! Now I know there are a lot of people out there that have been hurt pretty badly by people who claimed to be of God, but I want you to know that that's not at all what God is like. People misrepresent God all the time. I know because my husband was supposed to be a Christian, but I know he's not God, not by any means. Anyway, God was always there with me and still is. You see God loves you so very much and He doesn't want to see you hurt, but the fact is it happens. So when it does He's always there to scoop you up and brush you off and help you on your feet again. There's one difference between people who believe in God and people who don't. It's small really but it makes a big difference. We still go through the same crap, we still hurt, we still bleed. Things aren't even much better for me. Financially things suck and being a single parent is tough, but the thing that's different is hope. A hope that means no matter how bad things get that we have Jesus and because of what He did on the cross when it's all over we get to spend eternity with God. A God who loves us so much that He was willing to give up His only Son just so we could be with Him.
