Currently working hard to become the first of my family to be a successful fine artist. Either by becoming an art professor, or selling my art consistently enough- or both! I just really want it to work. Ideally, it would be nice just to have the artists' life. At this point I can't imagine being happy doing any other type of work-. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I'm 31 yrs old; married to a beautiful Irish girl named Patience (and yes, I have the "patience," not her so much (love you baby!)); finished up a 2nd bachelor's degree in May 2005- [this time in something I enjoy] in Fine Art from University of New Mexico; first bachelor's is in Psychology from University of Arizona (Tucson, 1998). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I am currently working in the Enchanted Circle in NM (Enchanted Circle includes Questa, Taos, Angel Fire, Eagle Nest, Cimarron)- I am in the small town of Cimarron working as director of an art gallery that I sell my art out of (and now working part time). I love it completely although I still want to go on to get my MFA-(unless, by some blessing of the gods, I become famous first!) So if I need to fall back on something- at least it will be in the field that I enjoy. My winter job just turned into my fulltime job recently- I'm "making ends meet" by working at Angel Fire Ski Resort. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .My wife just finished up her masters in Classics at UNM (YEAH!!!), and hopes to go to Ireland to learn the gaelic language and get her PhD in Celtic Studies there as well, but everything is still a possibility. We're both really not sure exactly what town we'll be moving to now that she's done- but we're looking at some place warm most of the year (and, obviously has a worthwhile university to go to) for our final "run" at higher learning. . . . . . . . . . I'm also going to be starting a restaurant with my family here in NM! So it's goin to be a long road- a TON of work- but it will be worth it, I hope. (If it hurts, it's usually worth it- right?!)...................................................
I have four wonderful pets- 2 cats, 2 dogs. All named after memorable characters in movies, music and plays. Dogs: Fezzik and Titus; Cats: Maynard and Gump. . . .There you go- something to think about- .........................
