About Me

Calumet is THE baddest Funk band in the Southwest, and backs their up their claim on stage and off.
We hope you are diggin' on the fresh new sounds available on our music player, right here on myspace. Calumet is currently is pre production stages for an anticipated upcoming album release in early 2009, and myspace people will be some of the first to sample any new tracks that arrive.
Calumet is THE Millennium Funk Band of the Future.
Calumet gives it's thanks to all those who came before, and those who keep sampling the records that gave birth to hip-hop. Sly Stone, George Clinton, James Brown, Rick James, Slave, Ohio Players, Kool and The Gang - just to name a few. Be sure to come out to one of our shows and and get yo' stanky groove on. No fake wigs, no backing tracks to become a live Karaoke band; REAL musicians playing REAL instruments and REALLY singing.
We would like to welcome all of our new friends on the East coast and overseas! We appreciate all of the kind words that you have sending, and we will be seeing you shortly.
Calumet contains no backing tracks, whack raps, or fake afros! Guaranteed!
