Larry David, J. Robbins and Doug Martsch. Ted Leo. Here is Devo. The introduction from Fred Willard is a gorgeous bonus. Here are The Feelies
My favourite band at the moment are Talking Heads. I also enjoy listening to Built To Spill, Jawbox, The Feelies, Walt Mink, The Smiths, Ted Leo, The Wrens, Deerhoof, Elliott Smith, Tombola, Radio Dept, Oneida, Fleetwood Mac, Bluetip, The Mountain Goats, Talking Heads.etc. i have a favourite albums blog you can look at if you have the guts. I've recently become a big fan of Brian Eno, he pretty much invented music as far as I'm concerned. I also listen to Roxy Music now as well.
I watched Wim Wenders' Wings Of Desire last week. It is a beautiful film, though bears minimal relation to its weak re-make; City Of Angels. I also wastched United 93 recently and that was a bit of a good 'un. It is similar to Elephant, I'd compare it favourably.
Planet Earth, Match Of The Day, Towers Of London.
I have just finished books about the record industry, the making of Pets sounds and the making of Unknown Pleasures and am now reading a book called 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius'. It is an embellished autobiography/memoir by a chap called Dave Eggers whom raised his young brother after their parents died of unrelated cancers over a very short period of time. It is very funny. I bought it for 50p and at 267pages in already it has already repaid the fee. Less like Veron struggling under the weight of his enormous worth and more like Eric Cantona shrugging off his comparatively meager fee.
Doug Martsch. Peter Crouch. J.Robbins.
