Beck, Ben Folds [Five], Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Elvis Costello, Fountains of Wayne, The Flaming Lips, musicals (anything queerish), Simon & Garfunkel, The Smiths, They Might Be Giants, Violent Femmes, Rufus Wainwright, Weezer, Kanye West, and anything else that is generally thought to be good and might impress people... and, uh, Ryan Adams. and Elliott Smith.

Movies:

i run the gamut, from blood to tears. bonus points if the film contains anything gay or british (but let's not be redundant). ooh, and i like scorsese movies that start with "g."

Television:

House, The Office, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Scrubs, Sports Night. yes.

Books:

yeah. i like those, too. here's an extremely abbreviated (abbrev'd.) list: The Princess Bride, The Sirens of Titan, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

Heroes:

my mom, your mom, and ricky gervais.
