After a long hiatus I finally returned to music ealier this year as a time filler during my degree. It didn't stay that way for long. I got the writing bug, and decided I wanted to start doing something with all this again.

I love playing the guitar but have the common sense to realise that, unfortunately, I'm not that good!! So I stick to songwriting and singing. With this in mind I searched for someone looking for a singer/songwriter who had the same musical interests as me. I was extremely lucky to find an exceptional guitarist with the same taste, vision and dry humour as myself who just happened to live n the same town!! I have teamed up with Pete Harwood and started writing in earnest... these 5 are the tip of the iceberg believe me!! We have the full compliment of musicians now to start reheasring as a band and intend to start as soon as possible... In the meantime... Watch this MySpace:)

The tracks on this page, with the exception of Addicted, are the result of that search...

Lord Of The North - Recorded 23 Jun 08
Fighting Man - Recorded 23 Jun 08
Those Who Watch - Recorded 23 Jun 08
Save The Day - Recorded 06 May 08
In The End - Recorded 06 May 08
All tracks are written and performed by Harwood/Tennick.

The 1996 track 'Addicted' was recorded at Jewel & Esk Valley college with a group of friends at the time... unfortunately I've lost the masters and only have the 'muddy' copy of a copy to work from :( The artists on this recording were:

Addicted -
Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar: Graeme Tennick
Lead Guitar: Derek (?)
Keyboards: Fernando Moura
Drums: Ally Tennick

Music & Lyrics: Graeme Tennick
Arranged: Fernando Moura

My Interests

Band Members: This page is my 'personal' one... it'll eventually have new work from yours truly which doesn't fit with the Morpheus Rising project... so it'll be ... me!

As the main thrust of my musical energy just now I'm working with Pete Harwood , also from York, on the Morpheus Rising project... I'm really excited with the work we've completed so far and look forward to completing rehearsals over the summer and getting the music out there as soon as possible!!

Influences:

Not sure I'd call them influences, but the music I listen to most includes the 'old' rock classics:

Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc.

I'm also a HUGE Marillion/Fish fan and really into most of what people would call Progressive Rock... and, if I'm honest these are where I come from... not necessarily the music but the lyrics, the poetic content of these two artists material has inspired me for decades and continues to do so now... If my lyrical style could be likened to anyone in particular I would like it to be either 'h' or Fish.

I'm also listening to Alter Bridge loads at the moment, and like everything by Dream Theater...
And bands like Epica, Nightwish, After Forever, Within Temptation are seeing a lot of airtime in room just now

Basically, I listen to everything...
Classical (Mozart, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven...), Folk (Afro Celt Sound System, Amy MacDonald, Ossian, Silly Wizard), Choral (Gounod, Fauré, Bach, Mozart), Pop, Indie, Goth (does it actually still exist? I used to like The Mission, Sisters of Mercy, Death Cult...)

Sounds Like: Classic Rock, NWoBHM-TNG (Check out the band site;) )
Record Label: Unsigned
Type of Label: Indie
