Derek is the first born of 3 sons. Growing up in the west end of Toronto, Derek was raised in a culturally and socially diverse community in a city itself praised for its multi-culturalism.

Drex Inkredible is the natural evolution of Derek Jancar. Grown from a reserved and sensitive child into a self-confident showman, Drex is an artist. A humble orator of substance in a generation of flash. A series of perfect contradictions, Drex Inkredible is at once a controlled and passionate man, by turns a serious and comical mc, and a straight and honest hustler. His dedication is evident when you hear his music. Taking a strong role in all aspects of his art, Drex is often producer, editor and engineer. A spokesman for his community, Drex' self-styled brand of “honest music” encompasses the thoughts and aspirations of a generation.

Working within the South Etobicoke community Drex is the project coordinator of North America's first government funded Hip-Hop community centre, the I.C. Visions Project. The founder and head engineer of the I.C. Visions recording studio, Drex is in charge of programming and facilitating the day-to-day activities the project offers to at-risk youth throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The studio teaches young people the basics of audio recording and gives free studio time three days a week to the projects participants.

The I.C. Visions recording studio is made available to some of Toronto's top recording talent for a reduced rate. Through this venture Drex has engineered projects for many of the city's top recording artists including Rochester, Kasual Evans, Kardinal Offishall, Hustlemann Entertainment, Rikoshay, Jellestone amongst many others. Drex' strong entrepreneurial spirit is reinforced by his schooling. Currently finishing a diploma in Business Management at Humber College in Toronto, Canada, the young MC applies his twin passions of music and business to live his dream full-time.

2006 is the year of foundations being laid for Drex Inkredible. With the full blessing and support of his Mix Nuts family, Drex is now striking out on his own for the first time. Having completed his debut album, the new-year will mark his foray into the indie realm with the release of an independent album called "The Charlie Hustle Lp."
