Music, Art, Reading, Hangin' with friends, Theater, Shopping always makes me feel better but I can easily go without it, Also like fashion shows and sports. 2 things that aren't usually liked by the same person.I'm into running aswell..thats about it.. If I get any new hobbies I'll add 'em.(Written by my friend Conor who happens to be a smart cookie) ~~Im not a jerk. I am not an insensitive guy. And I am not rebelling against the norm. Today was a day of mourning. To take a moment to remember what happened to our loved ones, and to our country. But I also realized today that we weren't attacked on 9/11 to weaken our country. And not to damage our spirit. And Im sure they didnt want us to attack Iraq, that probably wasnt what was going through their heads at the time. They wanted to send us a message, proving how shameless and disgusting America really is. And today I realized it. We didnt see the face of evil that day, we saw ourselves, over time. At first, we cried for our loved ones, and came together as a whole to comfort eachother. And many of us have not recovered fully from the attack still. 5 years is not alot of time to get over someone that you love leaving you forever. 5 years is not even enough time for a normal human being to get over the shock of being alive at a time where thousands of people were murdered in a matter of minutes. But we as americans have proved that false. In five years we have invaded Iraq, killing 10 times as many innocent Iraqui civilians as the Al queida insurgents killed in the attack on 9/11 ( 9/11 count= roughly 3,000...Iraqui Count= Roughly 30-100,000 + roughly 3,000 american soldiers). We have also made 2 full-length feature films, depicting events of 9/11. Shamelessly turning an all too tragic and sudden catastrophe, into a multi-million dollar marketing attempt. Only in America can we mask our own killing spree with the thin veil of false justice, and at the same time allow someone to stab the families of the victims with shameless commericial acts that have come far too soon then they should have. We say we know what evil is, and that it showed itself that day. But who is really worse. The Murderer, or the man who robs his pockets? Anyone can write Remember 9/11 on a button, sell them for $1, and say they're being patriotic. But it takes a real patriot to really do something with some substance. Send handwritten letters to victims families, make gatherings for remembering, or even hold a candle light vigil. What happened on 9/11 was an atrocity. But we cannot remain blind to our own evils. Even on this day of rememberance. We as a country have taken the very thing that briefly brought us together, poured glue on it, and dipped it in a big bag of glitter. We are shameless and un-united. And its sad that it takes a tragic event to bring us together for such a short time. I love America, and all of my heart goes out to the victims and their families. But how can we tell who is really more guilty when we're the only judge? ---Conor Wenk
