CORN ON MACABRE

Shut Up And Play Something Evil

About Me

Corn On Macabre
2001-2002 R.I.P.
(But Punk is Undead).

Beneath the decaying compost of the current century's innaugural autumn equinox was birthed a restless behemoth intent on leaving smoldering remains in the wake of its campaign of sheer terror and all-ages entertainment.

Comprised of heavy music veterans Cory Stevenson (pg.99, Enemy Soil), Brent Eyestone (Forensics, Waifle), Billups Allen (Darkest Hour), and Andy Gale (Anthem 88, The Out_Circuit), the madness beneath the dead leaves and wilted husks presented itself with both frequency and devastation in the years 2001 and 2002.

And then, like all monsters, it suffered premature death and returned to beneath the ground from whence it came.

Documented evidence of their aural and visual assault was captured on the following recordings:

Influences: Corn on Macabre really wasn't influenced by anything except perhaps horror movies and horror stories.

And speaking of which, in his post-C.o.M. life, singer Billups Allen has penned his first novella titled "Unfurnished." The book is set in an apartment building on DC's front lines of gentrification. Eight tenants turn a scalding summer day into a chilling and vicious tale. We find among them an enviromentally obsessed file clerk, a delusional junkie, a distraught horticulturist and a deadly dominatrix. Copernicus Street has never seen such fire.

You can also hear Billups' weekly radio show (Groove Tomb) on Tucson, Arizona's 91.3 FM KXCI. It's on Wednesday mornings from 2AM - 4AM and is streamed on the web.

Billups is currently working on "Cramhole," a new comic inspired by the general annoyance of humanity:
