About Me

I AM A MOMMY, AGAIN!! That's such a weird thing to say, even harder to truly grasp. He is beautiful and amazing and awe inspiring. Deacon has melted my heart and made me feel things that I never knew I could feel. I am so in love with my newest little man. His bright eyes have captured me. I keep wondering what I must have done so right to be able to have an angel like this in my arms.Now, I get to have a second beautiful little boy to love on. Maxwell Gage is definitely his own person. He arrived on his due date, May 31 at 5:12 am. He was a robust 8lb 11oz and 21inches long. I joked that he was going to be a big boy, but I had no idea that he'd be that big. At least he came out healthy! He was given the 'Biggest Baby Of The Night' award. Amazingly, I still got him out in under 15 minutes. I really thought he's be here the weekend before, but no deal. He's a great sleeper and an even better eater.* I believe that in all things, there must be an upside, no matter how small, even if it is only experience for the future.* I love my husband, my cats, our boys, our future.* I love stilletos and fashion and beauty.*I love to get good and dirty off-roading in my Jeep, then fixing her later.* I love knowledge and life and living, just not all of the bumps that make it possible.* I am learning to find a new strength within myself. I am digging through my baggage, finding that there is someone I never expected to find buried underneath it all.* I am excited about today, and the promises of tomorrow.

My Interests

I have painted since before I could walk. I etch glass and draw and sculpt a bit. I love to create and experiment and learn.I love working as a hair stylist. It used to be about the glamour and the bright lights and the fame. Somewhere along the way, the need for all of that faded away and I began to crave the satisfaction of transforming a person's outlook. By changing their personal view, they are able to see their life from a new perspective. Often, a new hope is created and life seems a little less daunting. All of that in about an hour. It's truly amazing.I love to play Uno Attacks! It is strangely addictive.And, of course, I love my kitties. All four of them. I promise that I am not really that crazy cat lady! At least not yet.

There are so many on so many levels...but primarily:Jace, my husband and my best friend, you are definitely my hero. You are strong and determined, yet somehow gentle and patient with me. You are creative and energetic and fun. You believe in me and you cause me to want to become a better person. You help me to not be afraid, but to hold on tight and push ahead. You inspire me every day to become more than I am. I love you for that and for always loving me. I am better and more whole because of you by my side.My heroes are also people who are determined, yet compassionate. They push for their dreams, but leave time to love and care for others along the way.

Only 27 days left!

It's hard to beleive that there's only 27 days until he is due! I am finally getting big. But even so, I'm still reasonably comfortable. So it's a little hard to bend and maneuver, but it's not so bad...
