About Me
Ilianna was born in Chicago , US by Greek parents descending from Cephalonia and Crete . Today she lives in Athens , working as a dental technician while studying music at the National Odeum of Athens.
Her presence in discography includes both lyrics and music (member of AEPI).
In May 2007 she published her first poetic collection of 53 haiku titled “Min kaneis zavoliesâ€, (Gavriilidis press). Haiku is a very short Japanese poetic form which has many friends and considered and autonomous poetic style. It has been described as a momentary capture of an emotion, a picture etc.
She loves Crete! She has been involved with the Cretian element of Athens since a young girl, as a dancer, a vice president of the Koxare Association of Athens and a lyrics writer (mantinades).Her mantinades have been singed by Mihalis Tzouganakis and Georgia Dagaki.
