Well I know this... My teachers busted my balls for tapping on the desk all the time..... HAAA! Poor me, look where it took me!
My name is Anthony Biuso or as some freaking idiot once dubbed me TINY BUBBLES.17 years later...Tiny Bubz for now......anyhow now that we got the name thing cleared up...My life began in 1970 in Brooklyn, NY, and continued on in Queens, then Wantagh, Long Island. Now I call Los Angeles my home.
I play the drums, compose music and sing. I began with the Cello and Viola at age 9. At 11, I picked something a little less fragile, the drums! Seeing Peter Criss of Kiss(in 1980) changed my life and hearing John Bonham sent me through the roof!Music was throughout my house all the time.My parents were big into Billy Joel and Elton John.My sister like pop stuff like Michael Jackson,Madonna and New Edition!!All this different music really inspired the player in me.John Bonham,Kieth Moon and Charlie Watts were some of the first guys i remember liking.Later it was Niel Peart,Nicko McBrain,Liberty DeVitto and Anton Fig.
Just a trippy wild mix of music and players.I was always the guy who liked the"wierd record"when everyone was listening to only Zep,Sabbath and The Who.So fuck em' cause it made me a more diverse player!!HAhaa.
Playing the drums in school was a blast. Doing parades, football games, jazz band and Dixie land band… what freakin fun! I got let out of school alot!!! When I was 15, I took some lessons at the Long Island Drum center (Thanks to Dennis and Jerry!!!) from Billy Messinetti, Rod Morgenstein and Dom Famularo (thanks to all of em'). The Long Island Drum Center changed my life! Because of them I have been lucky enough to have TOURED THE WORLD 5 TIMES OVER and over!!!
At 17 I traveled with a 100 piece pops orchestra playing Timpani's and Xylophone to Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Tahiti, Morea, Bora-Bora, The Cook Island of Raratonga, and Hawaii, before attending Musicians Institute in Hollywood. I traveled with Rude Awakening all over America in 89, 90 and 91!!
I re-joined Rude Awakening briefly in 97 and 98, going on 2 European tours.
In 98-2000 I played in a sequence driven hard rock rap band called Full Metal Racket for a year or so. I recorded an album in Holland with Lee Popa, producer of Ministry, KMFDM, Rude Awakening, for his band POPA. Then toiled away in Los Angeles playing many smoke filled rooms and playing on countless records of unknowns for 3 or more years, doing a bunch of records for locals in Los Angeles and the Valley. Studio work was fun because you never knew what or who was next.Playing different styles and drums.
I played countless "HARRY" Sundays at The Cat Club, my buddy Slim Jim's Place!! Happenin Harry Rules!! I recently ended a 3 year stint with The Dickies, where I toured the USA on at least 3 or 4 tours including The Fiend Fest with The Misfits, The Damned and Agnostic Front, then onto UK, Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium!! All the while pulling double duty playing all over the country with T.S.O.L. I now play in (hed)p.e and recently with the original T.S.O.L. and The Cadillac Tramps, and I sub on occasion in The Dickies.
Seeing over one thousand people just moshing away is amazing!!Selling out shows is an amazing accomplishment after so many fruitless years. I have been fortunate enough to record in some of the greatest studios in and around Los Angeles like Can Am, Sound City, WB, Westlake, and Sony. I eat the click track for breakfast! I am featured on MEGATRAXX Studio/Live recording drum libraries. I also compose music for commercials and movies with my writing partner Rick Torres of The English Beat. I have performed with major players and several national touring acts all over!! I have also recorded about 40 albums for Electra/Atlantic, Warner Bros, Ruthless Records, Activate, Hollywood, and Extasy Records. I have played 1,900 shows with these bands and many more... Rude Awakening, Bad Xample, Full Metal Racket, Laura Dawn, Happenin' Harry and The Haptones!! Lindsey Troy, The Sixes, Sylvia's Chest, Big Bang Theory, Gina Schock (Go-Go's), MC Wren (NWA), C-Trunk, Billy Idol Band, The Dickies, T.S.O.L., and shared the stage with Fee Waybill of The Tubes, Niel Moog, Tommy Lee, Mick Brown, C.C. DeVille, Phil Campbell of MOTORHEAD, Billy Sheehan, Steve Stevens, Mickee Dee, Don Dokken, Ian Gillan, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, Del James, Duff and Dizzy from GnR, and Brian May!!! I also enjoy short walks on gravel and nice smells! My girlfriend Nicole ROCKS MY WORLD!! I am currently endorsed by Sabian Cymbals, Peace Drums, Vic Firth sticks and Tuk Shoes, Hurley and Draven. I am so sorry for all these shameless plugsss... enough about me.
