About Me

Hailing from America's eastern shores, Grinn & Barrett owner Jen Beirola started her tattoo career in 2000 and has been inking her way to the top of her game ever since. Jen was serving in the Air Force when she decided to dedicate her life to the art of tattoo. While stationed in Omaha Nebraska, Jen took up residence at Grinn & Barrett Tattoo.
It wasn't long before Jen caught the attention of the tattoo community and was featured in such national and international magazines as Savage, Tattoo Review, Prick, Tatuales (Mexico), International Skin Shots (UK) and Tattoo Revival (Australia). In 2006 Jen jumped at the opportunity to buy the business from the previous owner and added a touch of Beirola style to the legendary shop with a new interior design, hot new artists and her own fresh perspective on a more colorful world.
Jen is a multi-award winning artist, equally skilled at vibrant color, photo realism, detailed portraits, script and creative cover ups. She especially enjoys adding a new skool twist to traditional tattoo imagery. Her easy going charm and vicious artistic skills have won her a rabid following and helped Grinn & Barrett win an Omaha's People's Choice Award for Best Tattoo Shop.
Jen now spends her time at full speed running her Omaha shop, traveling the US convention circuit and tattooing overseas to keep her on the edge. Her diverse clientele keeps her creative mind inspired and artistic eye as sharp as the needles she inks with. Jen is a Member of the APT (Alliance of Professional Tattooists) and Nebraska Body Artists Association.
