About Me

Currently living in East Portland and working for Borders again. Yay! I like to get out when I get the chance, but currently I'm buried under a pile of homework, labs, classes and regular work. Not much free time for me, but hopefully it will pay off in the next 6 years. What a fun journey that is going to be! Anyway, I like talking to new people and seeing old friends, so send me a message :)

My Interests

I love music. I play a variety of instruments, but I would have to say singing is my favorite form of musical expression. I've been singing since I can remember and it's always been something I've loved.

I also enjoy swimming, jet skiing, water skiing (which I've only had the pleasure of trying twice), and would love to go skuba diving and snorkeling someday.

Video games are a vice of mine as well. Played EQ for several years, then switched to WOW, now I'm back to EQ. If you don't know what I'm talking about that's probably a good thing and means you're not addicted to this crap too.

Finally, I love the outdoors. Camping and hiking have always been a part of my life. I've hiked 50 miles through the Mt. Rainier Wilderness in Washington, and have done a 90 mile 10 day hike in New Mexico where I got to hike to the top of a 12,441 ft. mountain. I don't think I've ever had a better view of the world.

I'd like to meet:

Not very creative. I like the people I'm around, but I like making new friends as well.

Music:

When it comes to music, I will listen to pretty much anything. I enjoy everything from Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Rap and Electronica to Country, Oldies and Christian Contemporary stuff.

White and Nerdy
..

Movies:

I love watching movies, and I'm really not that picky when it comes to selection. Just put moving pictures in front of me with a little sound, and I'm a happy camper. Not much has changed in 20 years.

Here are just a few of the DVDs I own. Unfortunately there are about 400 more that I can't show here cause it would make my page insanely long.

Some of Disney's best.

Books:

I'm surrounded by books on an almost daily basis. I hear about a lot of great books, but unfortunately don't have time to read as much as I'd like to. Here are some of the books that I've read recently:

1. Angels & Demons / The Davinci Code (Dan Brown)
2. The Dark Tower Saga (Stephen King)
3. Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling)
4. Alton Gansky books (easy reads w/ Christian themes)
5. Lots of Young Adult books lately. They're easy, fast, and still entertaining.

I read a lot of other stuff but that's what I've been reading lately.

My Blog

Wicked is Wonderful!

It's been a long time since I wrote a blog, cause it's just not my thing, but I went to see Wicked the Musical in Portland on Sunday night, and it was phenominal.  I really can't describe how ama...

ACK! The quizzes got me!

Ok, so I've kept away from posting those little annoying online quizzes for long enough I guess.  Here's me according to the various quizzes I took.  There are a couple I disagree with, but ...

A little frustrated!

So at work today something happened that really frustrated me.  I'm not really "out" at work, so I often get sucked in when my guy co-workers oggle at women.  I don't really mind this cause ...

Just some myspace fun ;)

I tell you, the wonders of the internet never cease to amaze me.   I was minding my own business while cruising through hyperspace when suddenly I realized that there was a screen flashing at me...

Alone on New Years

Another year is almost gone, and whereas in years past I've always had the joy of celebrating with friends and family, this year I sit alone in my apartment, deliberating on whether or not I should ev...

Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays

Ok, so I know I hardly ever blog, in fact, this is only my 2nd blog ever, but I'm feeling like I want to write, and I figured this would be as good a topic as any. So I was working the other day at ...
