Voz Elemental

..Alternative Spanish Rock is what the boys from Voz Elemental bring to the table. Karl Montiel and Craig Baxter started the band in 2002. Greg Sandoval joined shortly after. In the beginning they changed their name a couple of times, but after a short period as they decided to call themselves Voz Elemental. They recorded some demos, which lead them to perform for Los Angeles Spanish super station Super Estrella 107.1's "Cinco Minutos de Fama" receiving a very positive response from listeners. Voz Elemental was also nominated for the Orange County Music Awards in the "Best Latin Contemporary" category. They also charted on R&R Inc. (Radio and Records)s Spanish/Alt chart with the track "Vida de Mi Vida", which received notable airplay on Miami's WRTO radio. The track remained on the chart for the entire summer, topping off at Number 10. Voz Elemental has also had television appearances on both Univision's "Despierta San Diego" as well as Telemundo's KWHY Channel 22 "De Todo Un Poco show" in Los Angeles. Later, the band group went on to perform on the Universal Amphitheater's Sirius Stage opening for Alejandra Guzman.
