Sacramento, California has been a fertile breeding ground for hard-hitting rock bands for the better part of ten years now. Deftones, Far, Cake, and Papa Roach are just a few of the bands that made their mark in the Sacto (what the natives call their hometown) club scene before they found a worldwide audience. If you go on tradition, Track Fighter are set to follow them into the big leagues. The 5 piece have been the talk of their town for the last 2 years where they routinely sell out clubs like The Underground and The Boardwalk. Played Vans Warped Tour in 2005, Taste of Chaos in 2006, and capped that off with a co-headling spot on KWOD 106.5 Twisted Christmas that feature Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, and Gnarls Barkley. Backed by a strong online fan-base, appearances in soundtracks, and the front-running songs for the newest Deftones DVD, Track Fighter is making their mark on the music scene across the world. Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Jared Pane, Track Fighter play the kind of music that will speak to the most ardent alt-rock fan yet also appeal to the kids starting mayhem in the pit! There are plenty of air guitar worthy moments throughout and huge hooks are found around every corner. It¹s no wonder that former Diffuser vocalist, Tomas Costanza wanted to work with the band even though they didn¹t even have a deal in place yet. The producer flew the band out to his studio in New York and got to work on what would become their debut album Between Lies & Melodies. From the opening crunch of "The Fallout" to the dissonant chords that close out fan favorite, "Miles Away," the album¹s driving riffs and melodious vocals make one thing very clear; Track Fighter will be a force to reckon with on modern rock radio! It¹s hard to deny a song like "Bullets To A Kiss" with it¹s forlorn lyrics and revved up twin-guitar harmonies, to the melodic single of Another Memory that stretches the aspect of losing someone close to you.
