John Hughes is a great movie maker--Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, etc. Don't forget the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
Love The 4400, all the Law & Order shows--especially the CI with Vincent D'Onofrio (love him), and The Dead Zone.
