Music. I've been singing since I was born, but in public since I was about 10. I love singing accoustic stuff- hence why Eva C is such an influence!- and when I get the opportunity I love singing live, although I don't write my own stuff (I'm totally in awe of people who can write! Church. I have been a Christian for about 3 years, and I love the local Church. So much stuff is kicking off in Canterbury at the moment and it's so exciting :) If you live in Canterbury and are in years 7-13 at school (and also female) theres a great event happening called Designed, especially for you this summer (22nd July) ask your christian schools worker about it, or your church youth leader, we'd love to see you there (sorry about the shameless plugging- but I'm really looking forward to it!)... I'm also a fan of the normal pleasures in life, watching films, hanging out with my friends, cooking (preferably for friends:) etc I'm also a complete Lush fanatic! I need a bit of indulgence in my life from lime to time in the shape of a Black Pearl or a Butterball bath Ballistic, a good book to read and a long hot soak in the tub... it wouldn't be in the interests collumn normally- I just have a little problem with obbsession over it (all the products smell so good!) I blame Louise- she introduced me... (thankyou :P)
The whole miriad of different people out there... I'm willing to meet anyone! I'm fairly left of centre most of the time, so if I loose all sence of logic or lucidity, please forgive me...
oooh... a bit of everything! I'm loving the new Youth Album from Hillsongs United We Stand. Stand is an awesome song, and I cannot stop boppin away to You came from God Above (the riff is so catchy, I do sometimes wish my group of churches wrote some unashamedly upbeat songs more suited to the teens, maybe soon) Eva Cassidy is my fave to sing for myself. The newday 2005 Album was great. As far as secular music goes I like everything from Queen to Silverchair, Annie Lennox to Fiona Apple. The Foo fighters still rock, and the Uk has some great talent in Joss Stone and Franz Ferdinand so it's not too shaby for music at the moment... ooh Lauren Hill is also amazing
Bill & Ted (both films) Star Wars (particularly the first three films) French Films! particularly The chorus The Princess Bride, Pride & Predudice Lots of Cartoons The Incredibles, Shrek 1&2, Madagascar, Wallace & Grommit (love all their stuff- and Chicken Run.. just make that anything Aardman makes including Morph:) Toy Story 1&2 Monsters Inc... Just love em all!!
Red Dwarf is very funnySimpsons and Futurama & Family Guy. Lost! 24, and laughing at contestants on the X Factor Pride & Predudice and other period dramas
The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Harry Potter ( I know some have problems with it, but it's such a darn good read...) Autobiographies- reading one about Judy Dench at the moment, which is very good... The Bible (obv) particularlythe psalms and Luke
Lots and lots of heroes!... Eva Cassidy, Jeff Buckley, Freddy Mercury, Annie Lennox, Jools Holland are a few of the musical ones (there are a lot more but it would bore you) There are worship leaders I admire, as they help me to worship my real hero Jesus ! Matt Readman, Louise Fellingham and of course the man with the most friends in the world Joel houston are inspirations... Lots of my friends are heroic too, a shout out to Weesh3 for her amazing ability to come up with ideas time after time to engage with our youth group. you are a star. Lyndall Bywater is also fab. If anyone has the chance to listen to her preach go for it, 'cos she rocks :)I had some weird heroes from my childhood who are no longer with us! the largest (in so many ways) was Peter Ustinov! Great actor and a funny funny man.
