I am here for Friends

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 eight-six-seven-five-three-o-niiinnnne

My Interests

Weird stuff, random stuff, and totally geeky stuff that makes most other people wanna hurl.

I'd like to meet:

The type of people who help old ladies cross the street.

Music:

I would die of exhaustion if I listed all the music I love.

Movies:

Too many to list... I'm pale for a reason. A few favs include Talk to Her, Clockwork Orange, Stand By Me, Hannah and Her Sisters, Mystery Train, Brain Candy (Kids in the Hall Movie), Lost in Translation, Before Night Falls, If..., Rushmore, Wizards, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Dreamlife of Angels, Wayne's World, Amelie, any movie that involves muppets or Tim Burton... I could go on for days.

Television:

PBS, cartoons, the news (the type your grandpa probably watches), British comedies, Seinfeld (I never get sick of it), Degrassi (old and new), all things HBO that I catch 2 years after the fact on DVD, Conan, Ugly Betty, medical dramas (what are you gonna about it?!? Huh... huh?!?!), the dearly departed Kids in the Hall, Northern Exposure, and Twin Peaks... also, any late night trash TV will do just fine, thank you. I am definitely not one of those "kill your TV" people.

Books:

I'm pretty sure the head librarian at the downtown library thinks that I'm a hobo because I'm there so much.

Heroes:

"I love life, magical life in all its manifestations, all its forms, everyday life and holiday life, its surface as well as its depths..." ---Milena Jesensky ***************************************** "One of the processes of your life is to constantly break down that inferiority, to constantly reaffirm that I Am Somebody." ---Alvin Ailey *************************** "Deserve your dream." ---Octavio Paz ************************************ " The giving of love is an education in itself." ---Eleanor Roosevelt **************************************************** "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." ---Mother Teresa ******************************************************* " Fate is written in the face." ---Federico Fellini ******************************** "I have been in Sorrow's kitchen and licked out all the pots. Then I have stood on the peaky mountain wrapped in rainbows, with a harp and a sword in my hands." ---Zora Neale Hurston ******************************************************* "All men are lonely. But sometimes it seems to me that we Americans are the loneliest of all. Our hunger for foreign places and new ways has been with us almost like a national disease. Our literature is stamped with a quality of longing and unrest, and our writers have been great wanderers.” ---Carson McCullers ***************************************************** "Those who dwell, as scientists or laymen, among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life." ---Rachel Carson ******************************************** "Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night." ---Rainer Maria Rilke ************************************************************ **********************************************************PL US... my beautiful family and friends, and many other lovely people who I have worked with, danced with, gone to school with, watched play music, interviewed, randomly met on airplanes and beaches, anyone with a wicked sense of humor, genuinely sweet, sensitive, thoughtful, and kind human beings, bullheaded hellcats with southern accents, etc, etc, etc...

My Blog

Grim Skeleton

I spent the bulk of the weekend alternating between my bed and the  sun-drenched lawn chairs in the backyard,  listening my iPod.  I completely lost my sense of taste and...
