About Me

Melissa is a self-taught director / photographer who fell in love with telling a story through images. She is the recipient of the 2007 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Photography.Her background ranges from professional athlete and Canadian Fitness Champion to teaching scuba diving, to sky diving, to working as an actor and model. Melissa is the Editor-in-Chief of the E-Zine "The Humanist" for which she also contributes as a photographer and writer. The E-zine can be found at: www.melissamunroe.com.As a cancer survivor with an incredible story to tell, Melissa is working on a book. "Diamonds and Ashes" details the journey of her life and how her internal emotional landscape was not above suspicion.
