La Femme Classique

timeless repertoire, classic saxophone

About Me

First of all, thanks to the amazing artists that I was lucky enough to work with in Phoenix...(especially Melanie Yarger: dear friend and cello extraodinaire')                        Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  As I am new to PDX, I am working solo at the moment, and as always, am looking for others to collaborate with.I am classically trained in saxophone performance, arranging, and composition.  I am currently working on some older transcriptions (gregorian chant), fugues and arias, as well as new music that involves some technology (pre-recorded loops, etc) but I always try to keep true to the essence of classical music...As there is not a lot of music written directly for saxophone (solo or as a pairing), I have taken to re-writing string standards, harpsichord and accordion solos, as well as duets for flute, bassoon, cello, and classical guitar.    I am the co-founder of the Wind & Earth Duet (Phoenix, AZ), Wind & Earth Music, and have been featured in Desert Living Magazine.  This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours?
