D League- Lauderdale
Add to My Profile | More VideosDownload Mixtape | Provided by DatPiff.comThe dynamic duo is here! This dynamic and prolific rap duo, D League—formed by Uncut and Demo, two bi-coastal artists—is here to stake their claim and take their much anticipated “No. 1†spot.
D League is the next generation of artists coming out of the Miami Hip-Hop scene. The unity began on the ball courts as rival players with a likeness in style and skill. Off the courts they realized their passions were one in the same with music and brought their game to the studios. Now creating a niche in the music scene in the Miami/broward area, D League is cranking out hits like certified veterans.
Far from the average and miles passed the ordinary, D League is setting there sites for the majors. These young, ambitious and talented professionals are thinking and plotting logically the next step in their careers. Conscious of the present state of affairs, D League is leaving nothing up to chance. Like Jay-Z, Tupac, and Nas, D League knows what it takes to make a street record and a commercial hit. And with a quick listen you can hear not only the passion and the hunger in the D League sound, but also showing their rhyming prowess with songs like “Play with my paperâ€.D League was formed about three years ago when both Uncut and Demo realized their passion for writing. Being of Jamaican heritage and possessing a New York swagger, Uncut makes up one half of the duo. With a real and uncut approach (hence the name Uncut) to music, this young professional likens the legendary influences of Jay-Z and Tupac, complimenting his lyrical contribution. Vietnamese blood and a Bay Area upbringing, gives Demo the potential to surpass even his own limits. Though this laid back rapper symbolizes nothing of an “average rapper,†you would do much not to underestimate this lyrical warrior.
Their unity has only spanned three years, but D League has been 5 years in the making, acclimating themselves to their musical style, their world and their youth. D League has taken their time to learn the business from the outside in; spending much of their time in the studio strengthening and honing their skills. With the south making their presence known and acts like Rick Ross and Lil’ Wayne gaining notable success, D League is positioned well for the next stage; better yet, center stage.
D League has opened up local concerts throughout South Florida for artists such as Rick Ross, Chamillionaire, Young Dro, Trina and Lil’ Wayne, just to name a few. They have been spotlighted in Vibe Magazine, BET Notarized, FEVA Magazine, and Hip Hop Weekly. With musical depth and character to match, there is no wonder as to why D League is here to take center stage and show the next generation what it means to be “real.â€
