Books:

Lord Of The Rings, The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy (the trilogy in 5 parts), everything by HP Lovecraft, The Stand (Stephen King), Tideland (Mitch Cullin), Charlotte Sometimes by Penelope Farmer (a really cool book about time travel that asks some interesting philosophical questions and the inspiration for that song by The Cure). I've also read several Douglas Coupland books and they're really great too, especially Girlfriend In A Coma and All Families Are Psychotic.
