I really really love to watch crime dramas. That said, my roommates walked in on me while I was watching the end of an episode of Cold Case. They made note of the fact that I still hadn't finished the paper I was supposed to be working on. I made note of the fact that this episode was about a gambling addict and the downward spiral he was stuck in. When Cold Case got to an incoherent montage with some 80's song behind it, they made note of how I looked while slouched in my recliner. Make whatever connections you like. I also like to watch Law & Order: SVU and CSI (the original, not Miami...and fuck New York too)
