Jah Badge is the first child for his Mom and Dad, to whom his father gave his first name Wilard Wilson Jr. His mom and dad separated when Jah Badge was 3yrs old. Jah badge Mother (Miss. Hortense) at a young age move back to her parent home from Linstead, St Catherine to the town of Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth. Here his grandmother played a significant part off his upbringing. In 1985 as a youngster Jah Badge favorite hobbies were playing football, and listening to music. Always showing up at dancehall event, which was a regular in Santa Cruz He always admire the meaning of the true art in reggae music. Reggae music transcends how people view Jamaicans with the liking of the great Bob Marley. Today an audience not even born when he died of cancer in 1981 at the tragically young age of 36 is still touch by the true significance of his songs. Words have feeling and by his word Bob Marley transcend music, but most importantly gave the poor a voice they never had. Jah Badge is seeking to play is part by delivering the people message. Like Bob Marley Jah badge as known what its like to have cancer. In the year 2001 Jah Badge discovered threw is doctors that he had a rare type of cancer, that was seeking to destroyed him. The fear that is journey would be short live, give him a different view on life. His family and friend were tight bonded in their support for him. He prayed to GOD not to let the cancer destroyed him, as you could hear and feel the emotion in one of his song call JAH (GOD) IS THE ANSWER when he was feeling down he read the bible, and it deliver him strength from above.!!!!! GODS answer his prayer, and thankfully he is living cancer free as of today. Jah Badge fears no one, nor hates no one, you could say he loves everyone. it’s not a bad man thing, it’s just love and lets live Conscious vibebration. Be strong for yourself and other. No longer fear life or death itself, except the almighty one. Jah Badge have always played a part in his brother start of music, since 1993 taking a back seat to his brother who is known as PSALM, and one of his best friend VITAL. Back in the days going to East Side High School paterson NJ, he Always following them around to various sound played event and studio. No one known then, that Jah Badge was quietly learning the game; however one thing was sure is that when he played around, and touch the mike we were always taken back by his tone and lyrics of the art he displayed. After his cancer experience in 2001 Jah Badge felt the need to give other a voice, not just for cancer, but for all those brothers, and sisters out there who are suffering from any illness GOD is the answer. Jah Badge have been in the studio since 2005 working on getting those unknown voice to be herd, and believe me this voice will be herd.
