About Me
At age 11 Assaf Dar began playing cello and composing original works. He is a graduate of the Givataim Conservatory and Art Schools in Tel-Aviv and Givataim. Assaf also studied Music and Musicology at Tel-Aviv University and has attended many seminars and master classes along with the worlds leading musicians. Assaf is a winner of chamber music competitions and of the America-Israel Culture foundation.While at Tel-Aviv, he discovered the world of electronic music and began learning its secrets. This discovery would lead him to work from 1999-2001 as an in house music producer at Signal, a major production house for jingles and commercials.From 2001-2003 Assaf worked as an in house music producer in Israels largest music studios complex, Zaza. It was here that he launched his career as a musical producer and arranger; working with leading artists, professionals and record companies.In 2003 he began work as a freelance producer, arranger and cellist. Since then Assaf has produced, arranged and performed for dozens of records and songs with top notch artists such as: Idan Raichel, Rita Kleinstein, Ivri Lider, Aviv Gefen, Shoshana Damari and many more.Assaf's many skills include: top to bottom music production, musical product design, arranging, scoring, cellist, musical coaching for players and singers, drum programing, advanced synthesis, recording, editing, mixing and mastering. Quality is always his number one concern on all musical tasks.Assaf also designs DSP algorithms and musical plug-ins for the Scope Platform under the name of Adern and focuses on innovations in the field of modular synthesis.The combination of classical musician, electronic artist and pop producer, are the foundation of Assaf's unique musical personality.
