DJs since early 2000, brothers Corey and Todd better known collectively as the DJ duo Airloom, humbly began their careers playing at house parties in college, and for friends in New York City, which they now call home. Their inspiration to join the DJ ranks came after spring breaks and nights on the town watching the DJs exciting crowds, and making the people dance with the music they were playing. Since they came into the scene, Airloom has electrified audiences throughout the United States with their uplifting, pumping, funky house sound and continue to climb the ladder of success with every opportunity presented to them.Airloom originally hails from Randolph, in Northern New Jersey . In the late 90s Corey and Todd began to take interest in spinning. Constantly improving their techniques, by 2001 they had landed their first club gig at Bauhaus, a swanky, sexy and chic New York City hangout. The night was a booming success, and they maintained a residency there for almost a year. When offers from the biggest party promoters in the city started pouring in, they decided it was time to move onwards and upwards. In February of 2001, Airloom launched into a hectic DJ schedule playing on a regular basis at some of the hottest house music spots, with some of the most notable DJs. It was not too long before they landed jobs on the decks at venues such as Cielo, Lotus, Pacha, Marquee, Guesthouse, Crobar, Bed, PM, Sol, Le Souk, Canal Room, Aer, The Manor, Float, Flow, Tao & Jet (Las Vegas), Versace Mansion & Hotel Victor (Miami) playing alongside the likes DJ’s Mark Farina, Jamie Lewis, Axwell, Todd Terry, Ian Carey, Andy Caldwell, Jon Cutler, DJ Disciple, Pete Moss, Jojo Flores, and Felix Da Housecat. Additionally Airloom has been booked to play at various media and fashion events with Ford Models, Mexx, Rock the Vote, Evite, and Armani Exchange. Airloom currently holds a monthly residency at Le Souk and a weekly residency at D’or.Every DJ has their list of influences, inspirations, and favorites. Airloom is by no means an exception. Corey and Todd’s musical affection runs deep, and throughout the years it is these inspirations and influences have made them what they are today. Airloom pays humble respect to house pioneers Roger Sanchez, Miguel Migs, Brian Tappert, Grant Nelson and Ben Watt.Airloom has come along way in the last few years and has realized that albeit a brilliant business, it takes a certain someone to become a success. Airloom are also talented producers and businessmen, with tracks due due out and the launch of the Airloom Music label in the future.
