Anything that creates a good background for my daydreaming - this does not include country, classical, or most of rap. Most everything else I'm cool with. I just have to like the tune. My cd/radio player is set to 96.5, 98.1, 104.1, and night rock - 88.1. The only CD I have access to right now is Evanescence, but that can only be played for so long...

Movies:

Action/Adventure, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and basically anything with the words "epic warfare" in the title. Though I am not too picky if the plot is involved and I like the characters, but I can't stand comedies. They are not humorous to me, just...stupid. Some movies I have liked are X-Men, Shaun of the Dead, Resident Evils, House of Flying Daggers, the Last Samurai, My Neighbor Totoro, Emporer's New Groove, Wait Until Dark, Kingdom of Heaven, Alien(s)(III)(resurrection), Brave Heart, Gladiator, Princess Mononoke, Escaflowne, LOTR, Terminator 2, Band of Brothers (series), and...well...a lot more.

Television:

At the moment, the only tv I am squeezing in is anything interesting on VH1, and my adultswim shows. I could list the ones I own and have been faithfully watching, but I would hate to bore the air that reads this. I am also a faithful watcher of Gilmore Girls, House, SVU, the Closer, Lost, and CSI.

Books:

I am not one to read leisurely, but some of the books I have read and enjoyed - Harry Potter 1-5, White Fang (classic), Circle at Center/World Fall (Seven Circle series), Through Wolf's Eyes/Wolf Captured (Wolf series), the Hobbit and LOTR (all three), All Quiet on the Western Front, stories of Greek Mythology, and more...

Heroes:

Anyone who goes down fighting, or stays by their side until the end, is a hero in my book, I don't care whose side you are on. No "changing for the good" or "finding the dark side". Stick to your beliefs, or just go away.

Serious Sam is the only PC game I have ever really gotten into. Though I do turn of the gore cause it is a little distracting, I love just going in and causing massive destruction. Gundam Wing is my first series ever, and I love it to death. My favorite character is Duo, hence my screen name (his gundam's name is Shinigami, for the god of death, I shortened it into shino 'cause shini sounds funny. Shinta is from another series [can you guess] and the 2 means a lot of things) and my favorite quote is what's happening in the picture right above. This is from the movie Endless Waltz, an equally lovely story, when Heero is about to penetrate the underground fortress of Mariemaia. She says to him in a taunting and snobby voice..."Come and see just how powerless you are." and with his gun pointed at the gates, he says..."Roger That." Ah, those are the best moments. With the precision of a god he destroys the fortress, and in the midst of saving Relena (the most annoying character created) he gets to save the world too. Aint that a plus.

Full Metal Panic is the show that this cute little picture is from, and this is just another image I made for Lily and loved so much I posted it too. This cuddly little hamster belongs to Chidori, the heroine of the series. We (the clan) used to have a hamster, and it lived pretty long too. Annaliese had gotten it from her fourth grade "class pets" who accidently gave birth (they were supposed to be two girls...o_0). So anyway, due to a lost eye from either an angry, or hungry, mother, he was named Two Face, like the deformed and jaded character from Batman. The little guy lasted a while, even after a few close calls from our fairly demonic cat. He was a cutie, and Annaliese cried when he died. He is currently burried in our background, probably in a plastic bag, where some of our other small, lost pets have found their resting place, including three fish and a baby bird that we tried and failed to nurse back to health.
Wow, that ended up being a depressing entry. Sorry.

Suger, Spice, and Everything Nice. I had made this for Lily, since her screen name was "Sugar and Spice", but it was so cute I decided to post it here too. Me and my sisters watched a little bit of it during the summer, and whenever there is three of something, we like to assign names to each person, just to be silly, so I'm Blossom, Annaliese is Buttercup, and Caitlin is Bubbles. We try to match personality and style, and sometimes it is just who calls who first. Like even though we haven't seen AMG, we assigned goddesses, and Annaliese is Belldandy, I'm Urd, and Cailtlin is Skuld, and after reading some of the episodes, me and Caitlin's fit well. Naruto is the latest series I have been watching, with rave reviews from Tibbs, and so far so good. I am not very impressed, but I am not dissapointed either - I have watched two weeks of episodes so far, or more, it's hard to tell since it is a little slow, and there have been some (one) pretty good fight scenes. I was first introduced to this series by chance. Flipping the channels alone one night, I stumble upon an episode of Naruto, where I end up watching two characters who I later learn to be Zabuza and Haku, lying on a bridge, one dying, one dead. I cried, needless to say, even though I had never seen the characters before - I think just because Zabuza was okay with death, as long as his life ended next to the one he cared about - and though I didn't see the fight that brought the pair to their demise, I can only assume that Haku died to protect the one he loved. I'm such a sap. Well, later on, after some research and wallpaper finding, I just end up starting the series from the beginning - and I am approaching that fateful day where Zabuza and Haku fall. Until then, the eyes will stay dry - I promise...But I must say, my favorite character so far is Kakashi, and he is pretty much the only character I like. I have never been a fan of kids - they are immature, weak, and worthless, and I just end up spending my time wondering if they grow up in the next episode. *sigh*. Hope they do - till then, kick butt Kakashi, kick butt...you and your sharingan.
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
This is an awesome game, and it is the first game I have played that has been that kind of card game play, like PSO, which I don't own *sob*. I must say, I am pretty awesome at this game. = D
"Life is but a dream...but before I knew it, the dream was over..." I have cried more times during Cowboy Bebop than most other series, and I haven't even come close to seing all of the episodes. *sigh*. What can you expect, when that entire history with Julia and Spike and Vicious is just so fricken horrible. I think I have seen the last episode, but other than that, just a considerable anount of story inbetween. I haven't seen the movie yet - even though it was on grrrrr - but I will buy it when I am 18. It is a higher rating, but I don't know what for, and that might get awkward. All well.

Rurouni Kenshin, the one series that I have seen and own all the way through. With all three sections under my belt, Meiji, Kyoto, and Edo, or something, I also got the first and last movie of the life of Himura Kenshin - chronologically: The Samurai X OVA, and Trust and Betrayal. Of course I cried for both movies, but surprisingly not so much during the series, except for when Captain Sagara was shown dying after being betrayed by the government imperial army, and when Yumi died for Shishio (or actually he killed her) and she was so happy to have served him. Such loyalty. Speaking of which, I guess I also cried when the Oniwaban group sacrificed themselved to save "leader" Aoshi Shinomori. Hannya was just so darn cool. Well, anyway, I loved basically all of the story lines, and my favorite fight scene is between Kenshin and the Wolf of Miburo Hajime Saito when he is recruiting to take out Shishio. Wasn't long, but it was awesome. And I love their fight music - it makes the atmosphere seem so much more tense and exciting. That whole Tale of the Meiji thing was pretty much a waste of time, and how many times did we have to relive Sanosuke giving Sayo that piggy-back ride trying to get her to a doctor! Get over it! You've got Megumi at home, just leave it at that.
Guess, I'm just bambling now, but I guess to sum it all up, I love the series, and I am glad that I own it all. While I don't have any of the other movies, I don't plan on buying any more. I've seen the end, and the beginning, and at this point any more story in the middle just seems kinda futile. Oh, and if you didn't get it, this is where the second part of my screen name comes from - shinta. When Himura was a young child, he was traveling with a van of slave women (three to be exact) and some other merchandise that was raided by thieves. The women protected Shinta to their death, and told him that he must survive, he must live. His future master, Hiko Seijuro, defeats the bandits, and returns later to bury their bodies, but finds that little Shinta not only buried the three women that saved his life, but also the bandits, and the people they killed. Seijuro finds this admirable, and decides to take him as his apprentice to the Hiten Mitsurugi(sp?) style. But Shinta is too soft of a name for a samurai, so he gives the child the name Kenshin Himura...

Ah, Dragon Ball Z, the good old days come rushing back. This was pretty much one of the first series I ever saw, ever. Freshman year Ryan Emminger let is borrow his VHSs, and we were hooked. Thank goodness we started with that, because to tell you the truth, anime can only get better in terms of animation, plot, and SPEED. I may have been patient, but my sisters practically killed themselves when the seven minute fight with Frieza before the planet blew up took about seven episodes! Other than that *lol* I loved it, because the story really did keep you hooked (with so many darn stops in it you were always in a constant state of 'WHATS NEXT!'). And, of course, Vegeta is my favorite character, of all time really. He is sarcastic, cruel, cold, funny, and in a constant state of irritation (sound like someone we know?? lol) and he is the only one that isn't a complete idiot...*cGOouKUgh*. Anyway, props to my first series. Love you always!

.hack//SIGN only took me about three run-throughs to understand completely. But know, I think I can pretty much explain in my head whose the Voice, Maho, Aura (or Aurora, I don't remember), why she was asleep, who made her, why she was made, and how the series connected to the OAV. Putting this in words is a different story, especially since I am a little socially challenged anyway, and words are not my specialty. *sigh*. I promise I am not like Tsukasa! I am not utterly useless, pathetic, and withdrawing, only when I am in a bad mood lol. If I had to compare myself to a character, I have a good mood of Bear, tired mood of Tsukasa, ticked mood of Sora, and angry mood of the Voice lady. Yeah, so I have more bad moods than good, whatever. That just makes 'making me smile' that much more of a victory. lol.

Fullmetal Alchemist is by far the most depressing series I have ever seen, well almost, but whatever. I have cried many a time during this series, and with so many horrible things happening to the Elrics, Nina, that disgusting scientist, the homunculi, oh my gosh...it's just too much. So needless to say, all the chaos, misery and death has made this one of my top series, and guess what! There isn't one ify scene...yes...it's possible, you unbelievers out there. Anyway, just a little FYE...fyi...look up homunkuli of Fullmetal Alchemist, and you will learn more than you wanted to about the Seven, including origin, traits, deaths, and a whole lot of spoilers that will completely ruin the series if you like staying surprised. Anyhoo, one of the darker series, but definately something *I think* everyone should love!

Escaflowne the Movie. It was pretty awesome, with one or two good fight scenes, and great animation. Other than that though, not too promising for the series, which I have yet to see, and which also got some sad reviews by Tom. I still want to try, cause even though it isn't the most original story line, and the series animation looks a little weak, hey, that hasn't stopped me yet! lol. I did cry though, of course, when Hitomi had to leave, cause to me that just plain sucked. "Some say it is holding on that makes us stronger. Sometimes it's letting go..."

Eureka 7 is this new series I started to become interested in because it had pretty cool wallpaper, since I am trying to build up my photobucket, and I was actually able to watch an episode. It's on saturdays at 12:00 at night, an I think the one I watched was either the first one *I hope* or pretty darn close to it.
