i try and make one stranger a day have a good laugh whenther it be the cashier at the supermarket, the guy pumping gas, or the drive thru guy at taco bell. those people never look like what you hope they look like.
--Andrew Dice Clay. that would be some funny shit to walk around NYC with him. --The mailman doing the route around 28 years ago, because i do not look like anyone in my family --General Stonewall T. Jackson and General Robert E. Lee, and General Nathaniel Forrest (cavalry) of the Confederate Army, Civil War. These men were brilliant soldiers and leaders, and some of the bravest men history remembers. --Plato, Aristotle, Socrates and Friedrich Nietzsche. It would be an amazing event to walk around NYC with them and listen to them argue. --Han Solo and Chewbacca. Cmon now, the snappiest one liners ever, and the greatest sidekick, i'd say YODA, but i feel like i already take my Tai-Zen classes with him. --My grandfather. he died when i was 9 months old and apparently he loved watching his sons play sports, so he probably would have loved watching me play.
Music is a pretty important part of my life. Previously i worked in a music club called THE DOWNTOWN on Long Island but now its closed. :( I was immersed in all and every type of music so my interests are pretty broad. Most of the music you hear on the radio i hate and any of the mass produced, studio directed, cookie cutter bands all suck also. If its different, new, innovative, and i can shake my booty i'll probably like it.http://www.coheedandcambria.com http://www.opieandanthony.com http://www.eatAbullet.com http://www.iridesense.comCheck these guys...its a good time!My interests range from coheed and cambria, to they might be giants, van halen, rush, pink floyd, Beasties, eek a mouse, burning spear, ac/dc, billy joel, Hum, The Fad, Anterrabe, tool, bosstones, muddy waters, robert johnson, janes addiction, faith no more, the who....theres really too many to name. There are many excellent bands playing locally on Long Island that should be famous but aren't like greyscale, rob Balducci, Inity, all good stuff. what i dont like is all that nasty overproduced and marketed crap that all sounds the same!
Resrvoir dogs, fight club, BAT 21, Platoon, Full metal jacket (the funniest movie until it wasn't funny anymore) Finding nemo, Lord of the rings, STAR WARS, and CASABLANCA. if you havent seen it go do yourself a favor and get it.
TV sucks too, so to numb my brain i watch anything history channel/discovery channel and FSW for the worlds soccer matches. Daily Show is a nightly must for all the worlds news.
MANY! My shelf is huge but 'The Hobbit' and 'Lord of the Rings' by Tolkien is classic. 'Exodus' by Leon Uris will make you cry, and 'Crime and Punishment' by Dostyevsky will make you want try and read it again. Poor Raskolnikov.
NYFD, or at least the noble idea of those guys. I still get a lump in my throat whenever I am in NYC and see a truck go flying by. Mad Props to those guys. Teachers also because the good ones have the patience of a saint, and a strong heart. Olympic athletes because they still train to be the best and thats their only reward. After those 2 weeks everyone forgets the names. They are the last true athletes who compete for the sport where winning and losing still matter.
