Putty was founded 9 years ago in a small motel room bathroom by a grrl and her guitar. The songs that have been created as a result have become Putty. The musical influences that drove Putty to write are as follows; Nirvana, STP, Soundgarden, Alice and Chains, Pearl Jam, LedZeppelin and many more. Band Members: As noted above Putty was formed by a Grrl and her guitar, to date there is only one other member however not really, this is a studio drummer. He is THE drum king I say! He goes by the name of THE GEORGE M@$%^F!@$% WINDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Influences: As mentioned above Putty has many influences. The following is a more comprehensive list. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Audio Slave, LedZeppelin, The Who, Mahavishnu, Miles Davis, Santana, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Metallica, Bush (Not the current prez or his father I mean the band from the U.K.), Jimi Hendrix, Hole, Alice in Chains, The Doors, STP. As far as vocal influences they would be as follows, Janice Joplin, Jim Morison, Scott Wyland, Eddie Vedder, And the Omni vocalist CHRIS CORNELL!!!
Sounds Like: We (Putty) have been told we sound like everything from Tool to Metallica to "I never heard that before!" So make of it what you will, 'cause after all, "What ever it is it is what it is."
