I listen to different type of music from r&b, jazz, classical, hip hop, and go-go. Yes, I said go-go. My favorite artist is India.Arie. I love India because she is natural. It's not that she has a beautiful voice. I listen to the words that she sing about. I can relate to her music no matter what mood I am in. Then there is good old Lauryn Hill. I miss the old Lauryn. But she is indeed a great performer.
I have a few favorite movies. I think my favorite movie would be Brown Sugar. Then again, I love Love Jones too. Lets see, then there is The Best Man and Love and Basketball.
CNN is my favorite television show next to the Weather Channel. I like to keep up with what's going on in the world. I think I can watch this channel all day long. I enjoy the Weather Channel because I wanted to be a meteorologist growing up. But there was one problem, I am scared of thunder and lightening. So, I had to take a different route in my career path. I also like watching ESPN. I love sports! I don't mind watching a NFL game or two even if it is by myself. And, lets not forget UPN Girlfriends. I mean, wouldn't it be nice if women did really stick together like that?
I like to read anything by E. Lynn Harris. Right now, I am reading A Love of My Own. I know these aren't books, but I love reading Ebony and Essence magazines. LOL
