HOT PICKS features wines hand chosen by our critics, ten up-and-coming wine professionals in each city, and a handful of local restaurants.

Our critics taste and evaluate more than 9,000 wines a year. The wines poured at this event are their favorites—what they deem accessible, delicious and affordable.
These are the bottles that they scour wine lists and retail shelves for daily—what’s in their fridge, on the table at their dinner parties, what they’re drinking in the park on Sunday afternoons, sneaking in to movie theaters, or opening to nurse a hangover.
These wines make up the “Critics Picks†list, which is published in the June
issue. The HOT PICKS tour will feature the wines on this list. The May event coincides with the release of the June issue.
