Algernon Rabess a.k.a clickmasta is an original Reggae Cowboy (see Reggae Cowboys.com) based in Toronto. Playing the guitar since high school and singing and performing various genres of music, this musical phenom continues to inspire with his creative and always ahead of the times,sometimes prophetic lyrics.His brother Gregory Rabess(check mySpace.com) also a creative genius and himself formed a band in the post high school years. The band, Milestones, evolved into Malissa and entertained folks all over the island of Dominica until evolution into Mantra.Mantra toured St.Lucia, Guadeloupe and Martinique and recorded a self-titled album at Hit Parade Martinique.Following the breakup of the band ,the man went back to the roots playing non-electric music with his Carib brethren, forming a jing ping band called Chien Zombie(local terminology for Werewolves). After this came the calypso phase under the moniker Redman where he took part in carnival calypso competition bringing out trax like "What yu Tryin" and "Tambrin Jam" and inspiring a whole crop of musicians to enter the fray. He moved to North America to pursue his musical ambitions and settled in Toronto after a brief stint in Minneapolis during which he absorbed much of the vibes happening at the time like Prince "Purple Rain",Jimmy Jam and Lewis and First Avenue and Twins baseball championship.It was in Toronto that he teamed up with homey Bird Bellony(see Reggae Cowboys) and started churning out four track demos and further honing vocal skills to set the stage for the Reggae Cowboys. From the mid-nineties on and five albums later with constant touring the Reggae Cowboys continue to rock the avenue from IIinois to Montana,BC to DC,LA to DA,Victoria to Nova Scotia.
