Working within the Professional Wrestling Entertainment Industry, one always starts out with the high hopes of meeting up in the Ring with some of the Great Veteran Wrestler Headliners. My opportunities began to blossom as Manager "Miss Lacy" as I managed such famed Wrestler's while Ringside, LA STEELE, Greg "THE HAMMER" Valentine. I have one particular Englishman to Thank for ALL of my infamous opportunities, he was my Trainer, my Mentor & my Friend. Of all of my Matchs, of all the States we traveled together, of all the Shows we literally worked on together, "GENTLEMAN" Chris Adams...MADE it happen for LA STEELE & Miss Lacy. Working Independant Shows for a Englishman who ~refused~ to take no for an answer. Chris had a dream & he made it a reality. The rush was working a Chris Adams Show with all the top name Preformers he could bring in & continue to do so... Who would have ever dreamed of the Film opportunity that would happen for all of us back in 1998, Again...Thanks to a Chris Adams Booking in Nebraska.

BEYOND THE MAT was the highlight of our Wrestling Career, when we arrived back home to Dallas, we were booked on another Show, sitting around in a dressing room when Chad Hart came up & asked if LA had seen the 2 page spread in WOW magazine...the only picture to be taken from the Film BTM was of Jake & LA & Jake's SNAKE lying atop LA's breathless chest, not only did it make into WOW, but TIME weekly, PEOPLE magazine, PWI magazine, ENTERTAINMENT weekly. Chad began showing the entire dressing room & suddenly the friction became so thick you could cut it with a knife. What gave us such a thrilling HIGH was the beginning of the "local haters club", the jealousy, the name calling. Like I told ALL of them, we didn't tell this Film Producer to put us in his Film, he CHOSE to, he GAVE us our spots & NONE of you can ever take that away from US. Chris Adams made that opportunity happen for us, he selected us, LA STEELE & Miss Lacy. As Chris Adams told us hundreds of times....

Working under Chris Adams gave us the opportunities to work with some of the GREATEST WRESTLERS of all times. COWBOY Bob Orton Jr., Missy Hyatt, Japan's Sakurata, Rock & Roll Express, KOKO Beware, Kamala, Terry Gordy, Michael P.S. As a Ringside Wrestling Manager, I was the Wrestler's "gimmick". I also had my own "gimmick". In fact, Miss Lacy became notoriouly infamous for her trusty WHIP during the length of my career, I WHIPPED ALOT OF FAMOUS ASS'S OVER THE YEARS, both in & around of the Ring. Some of those BIG whining boyz didn't like little ole me to...

I remember one Match in particular...LA STEELE ~vs~ Robert Gibson, before we went out to the Ring, Gibson LOUDLY expressed before the dressing room that I had better NOT hit him with my WHIP... the Boyz in the dressing room just chuckled, they ALL knew what was coming, most all of them had their bunns tatered by Miss Lacy...LUV taps...So there we are & Gibson shoves his ASS right into my corner & that is my que to whail a GOOD whack right accross his ASS. Gibson caught off guard turns around & LA nails him from behind into the turnbuckle, giving me the opportunity to jump up & choke Gibson with my WHIP accross the ropes....A DOUBLE WHAMMY!!! An irate Gibson took the Match, but when we got back to the dressing room, Gibson exploded on me, so Greg Valentine cut loose on Gibson. "Your a BIG BAD Wrestler" taking punchs & stomps from men & this little bitty woman cracks you accross your ASS & your losing your mind. "I told her NOT to hit me" WAH WAH WAH... You shoved your ASS in her face & she's standing there with a black WHIP, how many years you been in this Biz? Couldn't you hear the Crowd cheering for her to whip you? What did you expect her to do with that WHIP? Lacy, you should have shoved it UP his ASS....One thing Chris Adams didn't like & that was WHINERS. Needless to say, Chris never booked Gibson on another Show.

In 1998, "GENTLEMAN" Chris Adams while on his last run stretch of Independant road shows, during his pre-WCW days, hooked up with a self made Monster Truck Promoter and booked a BBOW Wrestling Promotion in North Platte, Nebraska for a weekend. Little did any of us know that Jake Roberts was bringing along a Film Producer Barry Blaustein, who was in the midst of filming his wrestling documentary, BEYOND THE MAT. The hand picked "MAIN EVENT" for the evening, before a SOLD OUT Colliseum of at least 6,000 Wrestling Fans...Jake "THE SNAKE" Roberts & "GENTLEMAN" Chris Adams ~VS~ Greg "THE HAMMER" Valentine & LA STEELE, Managed Ringside by Miss Lacy. Miss Lacy, known for her "hair gimmicks" in the Ring...the deed was done...as Jake sneered at LA STEELE, suffering Jake's DDT, Jake's SNAKE laying atop LA's breathless chest, Miss Lacy rolls into the Ring & courageously grabs Jake's 8 foot Python by the tail & just as she begins to pull the Python off of LA's chest, Jake suddenly jumps to attention & lunges at Miss Lacy! I couldn't run fast enough to get away from him! Jake caught the very tip of my long blond wig & RIPPED MY HAIR OFF OF MY HEAD!!! Before a crowd of 6,000 screaming Fans, Jake "THE SNAKE" Roberts shook a fist full of blond hair, as Miss Lacy rolled out of the Ring to Tag Partner Greg Valentine, who graciously took his Robe to cover the humiliated head of Miss Lacy and the 3 of them, left the Ring in defeat. A Shining moment for the "SNAKE" & the "GENTLEMAN"... never to be forgotten.

"Customized WrestlinGear By Sky" was born around 1990 when I realized there was a NEED in the Dallas metroplex for quality, stylish, affordable Wrestling Gear, specifically designed for the Wrestler in mind & delivered in a timely manner. I began making LA's Tights & Trunks with Top Quality fashion Spandex, which I found in far north Dallas. The cost of some spandex fabric was as high as $78.00 a Yard, but as one learns..."APPEARANCE" IS EVERYTHING. Then I moved on & designed LA's Vests, both Sequin & Leather. Working with Sequins, hand sewing his name LA STEELE on the back of ALL his Vests, the hundreds of hours I devoted to just his name alone. LA had always wanted a long & lavish Robe to compliment his wardrobe. During the holidays, I found a Purplish flowered Velvet fabric with golden raised filigree texture. Every Show he worked, LA showed up with a NEW Gimmick. Fellow workers were now wondering..."Where was he getting his Gear from?" "WHO was making such COOL looking Gear?" Why...it was little ole me, Miss Lacy. Soon the locals were wanting their NEW Gear, Singlets, Masks, Tights, Trunks, Robes, Jackets, even Von Erich Reproductions, which were sold on EBAY. Robes for Skandor Akbar. Singlets & Masks for IceMan King Parsons. Tights for Action Jackson. Trunks & Vest for Calvin Knapp. Trunks for Greg Valentine. Masks for Dr.X. Matching Robes & accessories for the KONGS. Trunks & Vest for Chad Hart. Sequin Jacket for Chris Adams, for his WCW Debut, I made him 2 pairs of Unionjack Trunks w/ Unionjack armbands to match. I designed a ALL Sequin, full length formal Tuxcedo w/Tails. I designed this Royal Blue Union Jack Tuxcedo, using the entire back of the Tux as the British Union Jack. I designed the Jeweled shoulder Eplets, finished with long fine Gold beading. I used Gold Stars for accent buttons. I decorated the front with a Purple Heart & a Bronze Star, trimmings fit for the Queen of England! and off the "GENTLEMAN" went thru the WCW curtains, wearing "Customized WrestlinGear By Sky" looking like a MILLION $$$. LA STEELE'S gimmicks were enhanced as he entered the Ring, since most every Gimmick I made for him, I made a Ring outfit for Miss Lacy that matched LA's Gimmick. I remember walking into a dressing room one night & Jake was already there...he snickered..."Look, the Twins have arrived" We looked GOOD! Fans took notice when we stepped out onto that runway...APPEARANCE IS EVERYTHING IN THIS BUSINESS.
