I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

I am just me. I'm possibly unlike anyone you've ever met... (that is unless you've met me.)
I love life! I hope you do too!
I really enjoy talking about all sorts of things with anyone who would care to talk. I've had a long series of serious relationships in my life (since I was 16 really), however for the past year I've been effectively alone.. (romantically that is) and I must say that I'm starting to yearn for the companionship of another.
I'm not in a hurry, though. I'm one of those types that is still holding onto a belief in "true love". It'll come along, one of these days, and when it does I'll be ready. I'll wait as long as it takes to find someone with whom to share that "tingle".
To elaborate "about me": I am currently living with my parents to save money while I pay off some student debt, and I'm hoping to return to school by fall '08. Another reason I stay at home is my family. We're quite a unique bunch.. .grin. I'm the oldest of my parents' seven children, and my family is the best one could ask for. I love each and every one of them for any number of different things, beyond the fact that we share some genetic data. We're all rather musical, and quite witty to boot.. so there's never a dull moment around the house.
If you'd like to know more, just ask.
Beyond that, life is mostly about learning new things, spending time with my friends, and constantly developing into a new and improved Matt.
Oh, and also: I'm in love. I've been in love for quite a while and I can't seem to shake it, even though it would probably be wise. Shea's still the only one I think of when I fall asleep. She's the most talented and beautiful woman I've ever known, and she has a bright and blossoming future in front of her. I wish I were in it. I can't forgive myself for hurting her and I would do anything to have her back beside me. The time we spent taking care of each other will forever be etched in my memory..
Oh, to hold her again.
She deserves the best and I hope she finds it.
Okay, enough mush and self-pity..
I just wanted to put that in writing..
Oh well. Better to have loved and lost... right?
Keep it Catholic.

My Interests

Literature, outdoor sports, philosophopolitical discussion, drinking with friends, development of self through various practices. Theatre and other performance arts, musical improvisation and - oh, what the hell I'll just say it: The taking in of everything that is beautiful and rewarding in this world.. regardless of the rules and opinions of the .powers that be.

Television:

Honestly, I don't watch much television. Jeopardy strikes my fancy. I also enjoy The Daily Show as well as Aqua Teen. I've been impressed with House SO much, and Grey's Anatomy has been pleasant to watch as well. But as a rule I avoid TV.
