In the beginning they were THE CUTTERS, made up of Salvatore Ursini (voice and guitar), Alex Ursini (guitar and voice), Emmanuel Saunier (bass) and Pascal Gromb (drums). Gromb left the band and was replaced by Thierry Chruszezyk, the guys changed their name into VILLA MEDICIS. This line up didn't change until the split of the band in 1999.
On the road for several years with bands like The Fleshtones, Gun Club, New Model Army, VILLA MEDICIS played at least 1000 gigs all around Europe.
The band released in 1986 the 45 tour promo "Au delà de la frontière". Followed the albums "A scupa" in 1992 (10.000 copies sold ) and "Un hiver à Paris" in 1997.
