Bobby Burwell is an industry professional whose amicable personality and no-holds-barred attitude have made him a very viable resource in Gospel music. His experience extends from TV to radio to artist management to…well, the list is and possibilities are endless.Currently, He is the Promotions Coordinator for RADIO-ONE's new Washington DC Inspiration Station WPRS FM Praise 104.1,1340 AM WYCB and WOL 1450 AM News Talk radio.Burwell is the former producer of the morning show “In the AM with Jaye and Teresa” which received the 2006 Stellar Award for Radio Station of the Year. As producer, he has facilitated new features such as the Artist Review, the Sarvis Report, and the Producer’s Corner. He also conceptualized the “Home for the Holidays” feature, where national artists from the DC Metropolitan area co-host during the morning show.Burwell is no stranger to the Christian Music industry. He has worked with such notables as Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Maurette Brown-Clark, and BeBe Winans to name a few. Burwell has also worked with secular artists such as Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Usher, and John Legend. His musical exploits have made him one of the most sought after producers in the area. Currently, Bobby is the co-executive producer and writer the 7 Sons of Soul sophomore project on the ZOMBA/VERITY “Witness” released APRIL, 2007. Burwell also has tremendous five year tenure with the management team of the 7 Sons of Soul. He and the group garnered Stellar, Grammy, Soul Train and NAACP award wins and nominations in the past decade. Currently the single, “CLAP YOUR HANDS” is being featured in Tyler Perry/LIONSGATE box office smash, “WHY DID I GET MARRIED” which he wrote with Soul World Entertainment partners Cliff Jones and Dave Lindsey.Burwell’s community involvement extends from working for the Keys of Life Foundation which aids underprivileged children to assisting relocated Katrina victims find housing and employment.Of all his accomplishments, Burwell is most proud of his role as husband and father. He and his lovely wife Kevette have 2 wonderful children, Melanie and Robert III (Tre’).
